Patch of the Week 44: Using Nu:Tekt NTS-1 as Korg monologue MULTI Engine Oscillator

The MULTI engine oscillator in the NTS-1 is the same as on Korg prologue and minilogue xd, meaning it can load custom oscillators created with the SDK. Here’s how to combine NTS-1 and monologue together into one synth.

Thanks for showing off the NTS-1 with the -logue family. Something I was grappling with for a while with my Minilogue + NTS-1 arrangement was figuring out how to get mono-to-stereo output from the Minilogue; in case anyone is wondering, you have to come out of the headphone jack, NOT the "Output" jack, because the headphone jack duplicates the mono signal into stereo channels so you can go into the NTS-1 with both channels. You can't input a mono-only signal into the NTS-1, or it will only play out of one channel. Hope this helps others!

NTS1 is great but can you add knob value pick up. So, say I've got the oscillator sounding great and then go to the filter and adjust that. When go back to the oscillator and turn a knob, the knob jumps to the current value of the knob. It would be so useful for the knobs to pick up where the last setting for the oscillator, filter effects etc when you reach it rather than jumping to where ever the knob currently is. Hope that makes sense.

I just got my "NTS-1" in the mail and also have a "monologue" in red. I would like to sequence the "nts-1" from the "monologue". I'd like to ask which specific type of midi to eighth inch converter, Do I need for the NTS one? Cuz I heard you need a specific one?

Sequences are tied to specific patches, so that would require being able to store multiple sequences per patch.

@@jc3drums916 there are already 4 lanes, how about playing them sequentially instead of simultaneously. Or better yet how about being able to set a program change at the end of a sequence. It cant be that hard

Is it possible to play the NTS-1 using the Monologue MIDI output and have a different sequence playing by the Monologue at the same time? Meaning, having a MIDI pattern running inside the Monologue and another going through the cable to the NTS-1?

Not sure what you mean. The monologue is $299.99 and the nts -1 is $100. $399.99 for these two and $650 for the XD. Not trying to be a jerk. Just wondering what you mean.

i am buying yore products then more than 20 years and evening the KORG ESX 1 has a much better sequencer with 128bars and chained pattern song mod, you can make real composition , not a 16 bar loops boring like ever, i don't know call Richard again give him 100 000$ to do the update , but do something please
