TAKE TIME TO READ: Have you ever ever experienced the lowest point of your life where the world has turned its back on you? And you are even thinking if God is really there and suddenly, in that lowest point of your life something happened and from it, delightful moments started to unfold? If you cannot get what I am saying, here is a perfect citation: Kim Chiu's viral video remember? She said a lot of sensible words but one mistake erased all of it and suddenly bashers feasted on the "BAWAL LUMABAS" portion. It surely made her down. Bashers who are one sided. Bashers who decided to be rude. Bashers who focused on the BAWAL LUMABAS (CLASSROOM LAW) but forgot JESUS' commandment that tells us to LOVE ONE ANOTHER (JOHN 15:12) and ENCOURAGE AND BUILD EACH OTHER UP (1 THESSALONIANS 5:11). Bashers pulled Kim down and that was the lowest of the lows. But out of the bashings, optimism came out. Adrian who wrote an open letter to Kim Chiu understanding her side ENCOURAGED KIM to RISE UP and GET BACK. My salute to this man who chose to follow Jesus' commandment in 1 THESSALONIANS 5:11. And suddenly another man in the person of DJ SQUAMMY responded to the commanment of Jesus in JOHN 15:12 by making the negative into positive. He saw the positive out of the negative. 2 people have chosen to be kind instead of being rude. See how God works for Kim Chiu? He turned Kim's lowest point in life into a source of perfect timing to rise up. The same material of Kim's low moment due to the bashing she got was the same material used to to put Kim up and rise up again. We can really see how Jesus used the same material that we think was negative for something delightful and positive. In this story, as you read my reflection, you may think that the bashers are really bad. But let us admit that they took part in it. 99% may have been just negativity but they took part in the story.. Their hatred went viral. Imagine thousands of people spreading hate. Target was to put Kim down. Imagine ADRIAN and DJ SQUAMMY. There were only 2 of them but they were strong enough to lift Kim and help her rise up. Satan will use the whole world to put us down but God will only use few people to defeat him. In fact for Kim's situation he only used 2 people. ADRIAN and DJ SQUAMMY. Am I a fan of Kim? Not at all. My reflection is based on Kim's situation making everyone understand how JESUS USED 2 people to lift KIM up from the lowest point of her life caused by thousands and maybe millions of haters. My thought is all about JESUS on how He turned the storm into a sunny weather for Kim Chiu. He may do the same to all of us. Problems might be putting us down right now. But believe that God will make ways for us to find delight in the midst of problems. Stop the self-pity. Stand up and confront the storms in your life. It may look like it is more powerful than you. But who says you are gonna fight it all alone? Don't you know that the big storm is in Jesus' hands that anytime with just a command of your faith in Him He will crush it down? Is there something wrong with Kim Chiu? No. She spoke because she is an employee of ABS-CBN. Do you bash her because you never expected her to be brave for speaking up? If we think Kim Chiu does not have the right to speak knowing that she is an ABS-CBN employee, do we think we have the right tl speak knowing that we are not in a way connected to the network as employees? Kim spoke her mind out not as an artist but because she is a human being. Why did I say so? Because she made that video outside of her being as an ABS-CBN artist. She made the video outside of a taping/shooting of the network's show. May we realize that she maybe a public figure but that does not mean she is not a human being who is prone to making mistakes. Let us stop using our right to speak to bash a public figure. Remember that we all commit mistakes and we made a big deal of her statement just because she is a celebrity. But if we will accept the fact that she is a human being like us and that she is an employee of ABS-CBN which she defends and depends her living from, we will get to understand where she is coming from. And from it we will realize that she has the right to speak her mind because she is an employee and that we do not have the right to bash her because we are not ABS-CBN employees nor involved government agency personnels. We are human beings created to have a heart to be compassionate. Kim used her freedom of expression to speak her heart out. Bashers used their freedom of expression to do cyberbullying. LET US START BELIEVING IN JESUS. LET USLEAVE OUR OLD LIFE. BE COMPASSIONATE. KINDNESS IS NOT FOR SALE. SYMPATHIZE.
