I remember the first time I heard this song was when it first came out. I was 12 years old and was just about to get into metal. The first song on their first CD started with that angry as hell "Are you ready?" noone was ready for that. Overnight the rock genre was changed.

I saw Korn live in 1995 on their first official tour in support of their first album. Blind was their only radio single at the time. They were one of the opening bands at a small venue in Denver, CO - the headliner was KMFDM. I’ve always been proud to call that my first concert. I crowd surfed and was tossed head first over a security fence. Ride or Die! 🤘🙏🏻

Even more litter! DMX was on before Korn played. Yeah, really. And it was nuts. You would like that Ryde or Die . Crowd was beyond lit. The next day they had Limp Bizkit, Rage Against The Machine and Metallica. The videos of Limp Bizkit from Woodstock 99 are really great. Crowd was very litter. The show ended in actual riots.

This song is real early KoRn, in fact first track on their debut. That other song was a light radio single. But KoRn has great collabs with rappers like Ice Cube (seriously recommend that one) and a video they did w/ Snoop Dogg. To their credit they always tried to bridge rock + rap. I saw ‘em live that year elsewhere and they rocked.

So Jon Davis actually did an interview about Woodstock and he was actually I think a few weeks sober and dude was like unable to function from the withdrawals but still popped out and performed. He admitted that he was so exhausted from working on their new album and being sober, that he apparently just mumbled bullshit for most of his set but still put on one of the most memorable Woodstock 99 sets😊
