Korns lyrics actual help comfort the negativity in my life, the irony is positive lyrics don't help me they annoy me, but this helps me lol it doesn't even need to fit to fit, it doesn't need to relate to me.

Dead men tell no tales 1914 How are they ridiculous?
@Deadmentellnotales-vf3gg7 жыл бұрын
Sam Kornfan People who take songs beyond the realms of entertainment and let it influence their lives as if the singer has tailored their lyrics just for them are ridiculous.
@randombruh30337 жыл бұрын
Dead men tell no tales 1914 In a way I kind of get what you mean, because the lyrics weren't written about anybody but the singer himself but at the same time it helps a lot of people get through stuff when they hear lyrics that are talking about something similar to what they are going through. Obviously there's a lot of music that's only made for entertainment but there's also quite a bit of music that's made to connect with people and affect them on an emotional level.
@Deadmentellnotales-vf3gg7 жыл бұрын
Sam Kornfan That is exactly why people shouldn't take music so seriously! On one hand an obsessive person who hears a happy song can be influenced intojoy. On the other hand songs that make suicide, murder, sadism etc glamorous can influence a similarly obsessive person into melancholy! Obsession is a dangerous thing and it seems to be all the rage with fools who take mass produced music as a love letter to them.

This album was the album I deserved. I stayed a fan, SYOTOS, Untitled, Korn III, bought em all. It wasn't Korn but I still enjoyed it. Then finally, this album came out. Without listening to a single song prior I bought it the day it came out. I put it in my cars cd player, and this track came on. I bumped the fuck out of it. I was blown away. Then Love and Meth, ah shit. This was the fucking album I waited damn near 10 years for.

J. Castro Honestly Untouchables was a fantastic album for me. It was drastically different but had some really cool sludgy industrial pieces in it I really enjoyed. Likewise with Mirror, thats always one of my favorites. And SYOTOS/Untitled were good albums. Maybe not really true Korn albums, but I still found them enjoyable to a degree. I also likes K3, but it felt very hollow and blue-print like. The only one I was legit pissed about was Path. That was horrible.

+Mahesh C Achuthanna I don't get it either, Korn is one of the only metal bands that still remain original and incredible today, yet some of their fan base (notably the one's that were there from the beginning) still say it's crap. I think it's because they're so used to Korn's old sound and can't accept that they changed. I don't care though, both this song and this album are incredible.

Anytime I’m listening to this song, it has me imagining a mechanical man-vulture flying through the night, waiting to sink it’s steel talons into it’s next victim and carry him or her, back into the sky, where it roams and leaving a spill of it’s victim’s blood and it’s massive shadow, forever blanketing the area in darkness...... The imagery in my head just looks bad-ass, especially when I’m listening to music...has me thinking too much about Michael Keaton‘s Vulture, for some reason.

I was positively surprised by their last album, just the plastic-production of Don Gilmore sucked. It could have been that album what "Take a Look in the Mirror" should have been, and its still the best one since "Untouchables", but Gilmore failed with his polished Linkin Park pop sound... I hope they find a producer who gives them a more raw organic sound again for the next one.

@thenoblepoptart22998 жыл бұрын
joshuasbandit True, from what I've heard the song is about depression, which would make more sense for it to be "prey" instead of "pray". And also Korn tends to not make songs specifically about religion, so I doubt this one is any different.
@BentleyIscoolerthanyouuu8 жыл бұрын
In one of their interviews or something, Jon said he liked the idea of a bird of prey, he obviously wasn't in a good place, but he also spoke about going to a church and someone told him that they prayed for him, and he didn't understand the religious side so I guess he just interpreted it as prey. 😊
