I remember doing this in Africa it was the cutest. And for the ends u can deep ur hands in cold water and than touch the ends again so u wont burn ur fingers lol

Another good way to install the yarn so that you won't have to keep pushing up on your braid is to section your real hair in individuals tie each section with small black rubber bands plat each section so that each looks like a braid they will be your third strand when you do your braids.

I'm sure you have already figured this out even with doing the regular faux locs but after you wrap so many time push the hair up which will keep it from unraveling

My favorite yarn loc tutorial! This is what inspired me to do it my first time. You made it look so easy😅. I do them all the time now. I usually split and my hair into three sections and then braid to make it more secure. When I did it your way my locs would slide a little at the roots

Great video. I actually did this on my real hair being that I have real locs so I did it over my locs just for a color change but they were so heavy on my head I only kept them in for 2 days

im thinking about doing this i hv puerto rican hair does that matter braids and twists stay in my hair its like crimp and curl but not as much as native american hair, also what os your shower routine is it like normal braided hair does the water affect the yarn ive put ribbons yarn n stuff in my hair before but never complete, this must have taken forever but it looks so good, i wonder if pool water will hurt it? goung on vacation was going to braid my hair cause its so much easier that way, lmk please luv ur video very good ty
