YEAHHHHH NEW GEM VIDEO LETS GOOOOO this is actually super interesting, I had never even considered battles when looking at Korvold, plus getting to sneak him out on turn 2 if you're lucky is really tempting on its own to try my hand at building one properly. great vid as always ❤

@@gemtg42 while I could be involved in the EDH Collab, conceivably, I'd spend most of the game in sheer terror of your deck. seriously, what I've seen of your deckbuilding skills is terrifying. I should build a powerhouse deck and maybe make a video showing it off. idk this is stream of consciousness, hubris resulted in severe lack of sleep last night

Silly question, how does a kindred enchantment reduce the cost but doesn't count to the draw? Theyre both looking for the same thing aren't they?

@@tylertesla3678 Nope! Reducing Korvold’s cost counts ALL card types, while his draw trigger only counts permanent types. Because Kindred is a card type and it’s on a permanent you sacrificed, it gets counted to reduce his cost, but it’s not a permanent type, so it doesn’t count towards drawing.

Does the diamond lion work? Since its only at instant speed activation? Just wondering

@@ezzye5 It does! the requirement that it only be activated at instant speed is only to prevent it from being used to be able to cast a card you’re discarding. It’s kinda goofy.
