Something most might have missed, unmarked grave says non legendary card, it doesn't say creature card. I used it as a jack of all trades in my Anje Falkenrath reanimator deck to send increasig ambition so I could use its flashback and search combo pieces or to send cut//ribbons in the grave to close up games.

I love reanimator decks especially when you have to discard down to hand size but you don't care because you're going to just reanimate those! The black blue precon deck has four of the best reanimate spells in magic in that deck so I think it's worth it just for that.

Chainer Dementia Master is the original king of reanimator commanders. Mono black is limiting sure, but I still think he's near the top of the list

If you're looking for a reanimator commander in Esper colours I recommend Sefris of the Hidden Ways. His venture into the dungeon ability only triggers once a turn but we can get around that easily enough. The important thing is a package to get us through dungeon quickly.

Great video! Excellent supplies and strategies here. Never underestimate the Havengul Lich. I like using him with Carrion Feeder, Grave crawler, etc.

Just what I was looking for. I just built a Raffine reanimator deck and it’s nice to not have to worry about getting creatures in the yard since the commander does it with the quickness.

@@bettercommander i was going through my unsleeved recent rares and saw i had a LotR copy. It's too fun to leave in bulk so i added it to my playables. I like Too Greedily Too Deep even though its a tad expensive to cast because it likely just dumped more targets into yards lol. The best thing about nurgle's conscription is that its an instant. Just toss it on the stack if someone else is trying to sneak a big beefy using reanimate- thats a 2 for 1:)

That does hold it back. You need to be in reanimator with a big mana sub theme, or aristocrats with good acceleration (treasures or something). As a concept it's a neat card.

the mimeoplasm is my favorite. can be very silly or oppressive depending on the build. in my expirence the most successful was adopting mill strategy + creature based ramp and removal. its awesome, one of the O.G's and still kicking ass

Don't sleep on Araumi of the Dead Tide as a commander for a reanimator deck. Araumi can pull off some absolutely bonkers shenanigans on a slim budget. Imagine pulling out 3 Gary's onto the battlefield at once

Grimoire of the dead is a cheap march of the dark realms that also let you discard. it takes time to make it work but is really undervalued.

Reanimator is cool, but I've often found that I struggle to make it consistent. My zombie/graveyard commander, and also my oldest deck at about 7 years, is Gisa and Geralf; I just like having my GY as an extra hand for all my zombros.

I keep messing with blue/black reanimator nonsense. Vohar, Oskar, and they're funky ways to churn stuff into the yard... maybe I just need to fire up Varina and embrace zombies.
