Yes. Those Kosmosky drums are amazing! They know how to tune the harmonics of the body so that the resonance is extremely sonorous. The ones that have two keys - one on each side - are tuned so that the scales are complimentary. Very, very beautiful. And, the art on them is beautiful.

I have 3 Kosmosky drums and they are magical instruments. I use them in my sound healing practice sessions. This sounds lovely 🥰 B minor was my first drum love the sound.

WOW is right!! There is a dvutone in my future. Hopefully next month. Stunning instrument. Thank you for a thorough review highlighting the unique qualities of this drum. I especially like that you also demonstrate using the mallets as I will be using them most if not all of the time. Without them I might hesitate due to aged and mildly arthritic hands.

I suspect it's going to be more difficult to obtain Kosmosky drums going forward. The same may be true for the wonderful drums made Ukrainian companies like Guda and Nova. I did not learn about tongue drums until last month, and Kosmosky is the one I want most. The shipment made it out of Russia and is currently in transit. I cannot wait to receive it! I will be like a little boy on Christmas morning when the package finally arrives.

I just started playing a tank drum and I'm loving it. I have my eye on a couple of Kosmosky's including this Woody Tritone and one of the double-sided 12" models. This drum just sounds magical. I'm curious about the stand you are using. Is it just a standard snare drum stand?

Wow, what a difference when I put my earbuds in, you weren't kidding! Do you find the sound gets too muddy or smeary because of the tritone effect if you are playing notes quickly? I don't want to order it and have it sound like piano with the damper pedal left down!

A rusty what? The entire instrument? A lot of rust is only on the surface and can be removed with the right tools or chemicals.

Susan, Elf-3 was the name (ID) of the particular drum, it was written on the card with the notes that comes with the drum. This model is the Woody Tritone :)
