Hey everyone! Welcome to the first episode of my RAILROADS Online! series! I am excited to start engineering railways and building up my train empire! In this episode Dapper joins me to help out and we set out to demonstrate the current state of my railroad! We also make some necessary additions so make sure to check out the action and see the shenanigans, maybe give us some pointers, and I hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed playing it! The cylinder cocks by the way is for the first few yards of when you set off, they clear condensed steam (water) from the pistons, preventing the engine from locking up and causing damage.

I've made 3 saves (13+ hours in just over a day) and I've only sold 6 logs in total because my track ends up being bad and my train glitches so I just decide to make new saves lol

My track loops also loops around the saw mill from from depot to log camp with the 90 cross over. The eureka kAN t even climb the hill to the log camp on its own. My porter betsy is laying on its side at the oil camp, got yeeted across the map. Also tier 3 and up need copressor for air brakes.

It's clear what you'll need: a telegraphy station, where you can signal the path to switch the junctions with a telegraphy operator that you'll connect with. No. Not abstract, you have to do Morse code typing to switch. Like JUNCTION01 DE DAPPER = SWL + JU02 DE DAPPER = SWR with commands switch left SWL or switch right SWR.

I question as to why your track ballast (groundwork) is so high in some places, but then again I guess it can help with smoothing out slopes

Yes! I wanted to do a twin line but the cross only sits at a 90° so it proved to be slightly less useful... i used a but ton of switches instead xD

I understand people’s frustration with game abandonment and when developers seemingly “take the money and run” and I’ve been there myself with other games, but from a development perspective it is sometimes way more practical to start fresh if your code is too rough, so you can achieve the end goal of what you want to do in a much more efficient manner that will make the game and gameplay more polished. I’m not defending the guy by any means, I don’t even know the details, I just know there isn’t ALWAYS a malicious intent to an unfavorable outcome. If he tried to hide this fact like some other people do, I’d feel differently. But once again, don’t know details. Should the people who bought his first game get a discount when buying the new one? Yeah probably. But I digress, I’m just here to play with trains.
