This isnt an idea for a theme, but you should make the spleef platform pizza shapped. Mabye you can do toppings on it, which are 2 or 3 layers thick

I think maybe turntable spleef might be good? Scrap mechanic doesn't really freak out over large objects that are just rotating though you might have to do the bearing stacking like kAN was talking about in the flipping sumo platform video. Having a turntable arm that worked it's way in slowly and cut the platform might work ok too? Who knows. It might look like hot garbage over multiplayer but w/e.
