Next challenge should have a random wheel of options (drift, rally, drag, track, etc) and you guys have to build a car first, then spin the wheel to decide what kind of race you’re doing. You’d have to design a car that’s as well suited for any of the possibilities without going too far into one direction

I think the only 'official' rule should be that Butch and Kosmo both agree on all the rules. Beyond that, I say, alter them however you two want. There is nothing to gain from outright denying an idea when everyone who is present in the moment agrees to it. I would, also, like to make a suggestion of my own. With the intention of keeping the time limit 'imposing,' while also offering a little more time to feel satisfaction in your builds, I would alter the allotted time to 21 minutes. 7 for engine, 14 for body.

You're doing great with your engine building, but let me add to your knowledge. You're turbo spike is good but it comes in kinda late in the power curve. If you adjust the size of the turbo(typically make it smaller) your boost will come in earlier, creating less turbo lag. In this engine your boost is coming in around 4,500 rpm you would actually want that to be around 2,000-2,500 rpm. The earlier the boost comes in the faster the acceleration. You did really good though. Very solid engine! 👍

I think if you go for exact values of real engines, make that another series, because obviously if you just get the same size engine but better compression and so on youll definitely get better results

They need to add terrain deformation into their off road race courses. Rally games without it just feel so dated. Terrain deformation has been a thing for like two decades, why do so many devs not do it? O_o

Simple answares, it's not possible in any game engine and/or it's to hard and/or it takes to much system resources for a "normal" game. Terrain deformation is hard to implement and even harder to process. BeamNG is a physic based game and you can see how often the tires "explode" and go into all directions, because it's to hard to process it and to display it.

Kosmo I think you should play more offcam, you have so much to learn! Open the turbo map and start messing with the settings! Smaller turbos spool faster, bigger compressors give good top end. Add AR ratio if the compressor can't handle more boost, decrease it to have less turbo lag
