NEW High-Speed Downhill Racing Game is INSANELY Fun!

Hey everyone! Today I'm checking out Driftwood, a NEW high-speed downhill longboarding game where you play as a rad sloth named Eddy and carve up the mountainside with EPIC drifts! Hey Kosmonaut, Thank you so much for taking the time to play our game! :) We definitely still have alot of things to polish and improve upon. Especially all the pop-in. On high settings it is way better but obviously we also have to make it less of an issue on the lower settings. Had a great time watching you play our game and it was super cool to see you slowly improve and get better at controlling the physics! We've already been pushing some updates, fixing some bugs. We also included a camera smoothness slider for those that are a bit more prone to motion sickness. Anyways, thanks again for your support & have a great day!

Agree. I love this game. It is so simple and better as some Triple A Titles. The gameplay is fun, chillout or beat highscores. Time challenge is nice, graphics and music/Sound is also Perfekt. There are some Bugs in this early acces Version but Nothing is game breaking. It looks also already polished. Charakter and Board Customizing is good. I need only some more Tracks and its perfekt. My friends wish that you can jump or drive with Couch coop Split screen. But I think this game do Not need jumping. Coop could be cool but for me its enough to switch the controller. btw, we also included a mph option in the game ;) But since we are based in Berlin we felt the default should be kmh! 😁

Yannic should add a feature in Zeepkist where, if you are below a certain speed, you can have your character push off on the ground to get just a tiny bit of boost. Similar to this gamed where you can kickstart yourself.

If only "air braking" worked anywhere near that good in real life. I seem to remember it being mostly "slide and then go buy new wheels".

You should play Motortown Hide and Seek but the seeker acts like an NPC and that means that it is harder for the hiders as they dont know who is looking for them and they have to be as close to an NPC as possible at all times. Thx. Edit: Congrats on 100k subs! Awesome videos!

I have not attempted downhill boarding, although I’d like too. It seems fun. I’ve made my own board and wiped out on a hill my friends and I used for fun. Only abt 10ft long, but at a 30 degree angle and rough asphalt. I wiped out and got an awesome scar from it. Still my favorite board I own

I love it! Even at early access stage is already enjoyable and visually pleasing. I like the sky but yup a bit more of detail on the background might be good, now is too minimal compared to the sky and it's kinda "out of place" this, since the background is closer than the sky should have a lil more detail imo. But the game is cool and nice to watch at!

Thanks for your feedback and comment towards our game! :) If you set graphics to "high" the view distance is way better and you see more details. But obviously the lower graphics setting shouldn't be this bad when it comes to view distance. We will try to improve on that throughout Early Aceess development :)
