After we ate and there was a change in tide, the fish finally started to bite. It was already pretty late in the day, but we managed to catch some quality fish. Most of them we caught were on hand lines and a couple on rod. You would see from the video, just how quick things happen when fish start to bite.

Fishing rods have never been what id use at sea i have more control with some decent vingerlappies to stope the road line cutting in and brakes 😅

Yes! It is a personal choice! Some prefer rods...We traditionally use handlines! It is our way!

@KoS M I always found I had a more control and rods hurt my back . But I've also struggled with some really big fish. Just got to use the roll of the boat to pull and hang on 😆 🤣

They call these weakfish or sea/sand trout...It may be slightly different, but very close family.

Well we have a number of different salmon species in Trinidad....And there are also a number of species that they are very similar too...The sand trout is one...There is also the weakfish, corvina and even the sea trout...

Hi i have a question for you i am going to travel to nokomis and fort laurderdale florida in december, what lures do you think are good for this month for fishing in the beach from the coast ? I saw some videos but i dont know the correct lures for that month for fishing in the beach

Hey man...Fishing from any beach in Florida can be a great experience....I would definitely recommend some plugs/jerk baits like the yozuri crystal minnows and twitch baits...You can also get some spoons if there are spanish macks and blue fish around....The last thing which you can use are some 3 to 5" swim baits for snook and tarpon...Never fished there during December, but you should cover all of the bases with that selection.

Ad they say in local palang "allyuh jam dem" nice gains of salmon there. What bait did you use on the hand lines shrimp?

Lol...We jam dem that day! We used herring/joshua and any small live fish we caught!
