Always enjoy your video's and that you for the beach scene at the end as it truly is a wonderful island you live on, and it's a shame that some other lovely islands in the world are polluted by plastic waste 😥. Look forward to your next video Kostas and till then take care brother 😊

This is again a great video and now also with nice sound. I admire your meticulousness in creating the videos, also here you are really a master. This plate is enormous at first. What weighs such a part? And there I also have a question: Is this a complete disc of a poplar tree, then it must be huge, or is the square of boards glued together. This work in the decoration with the milling machine...Oh my God, you've been sitting there for days. What are you doing with this part? If you can't get it sold right away, I suggest you put the plate on a tripod in front of your shop as an eye-catcher, everyone knows immediately: There's something special here. The video helps me a lot with the turning of smaller plates, I have now made one where I used only the spindlegauge on the outside nut and it actually went very well. Many thanks also for the beautiful beach video, there one gets large desire to bathe soon in this turquoise water. A beautiful and productive week for you

Place the platter on a table facing the entry to your shop. It probably will not sell quickly, but it is a statement piece and will entice customers to buy your other works. I have a 900mm platter at a gallery for a few years and the owners want it there as it sells both mine and other's work.
@KostasAnnikasDeftereos5 жыл бұрын
You are totally right ! Thanks a lot for your amazing advice ! Can I ask you something more ? How much can cost something like that ?because people asking for a price but I dont k owe what to say ! I am not common with pieces like that !! Thanks again for all your help !!!
@patkeefe58345 жыл бұрын
@@KostasAnnikasDeftereos the gallery has it for Au$750 or €470, due to the size and timber (Blackbutt Burl). That price in no way covers the man hours (40) it took to complete the piece. For me, in your dedicated gallery I'd put €400 on it and watch people wonder how you did it. The price is also the high price and gives you room to be "bargained" down with a €300 floor. It also depends on the economy there and if you really want to sell it.

Beautiful wood grain and work. Would love to see you turn a bowl and use copper wire as an accent. Great work!!

Thanks a lot my friend ! Please explain me a bit how you like to use the copper wire ?
@thomashester7395 жыл бұрын
I have only seen a piece with wire but it appeared holes were drilled in the wood but just big enough for the wire to go through. Hooked at one end pushed into the wood like a fish hook . Aluminum wire would look cool also. You do awesome work. Thanks again for sharing

Hi Kostas,,, This is such an amazing/beautiful piece of art! Was the blank 1 piece or 2 or more pieces glued together? You are an incredible wood turner and I love all of your videos! The video of the beach reminds me of when I visited Greece almost 55 years ago! Thank you,,, Tom

I wondered if it may have been two pieces as well Tom. At the beginning when Kostas showed off the blanks the grain did look as if it had been booked marked, but I paused at 9:30 and the grain looks natural across the whole piece.

@@gordonchapman222 If it's one piece it must have been a pretty big Poplar tree!

I know, right! looking at the end grain at 0:40 it looks like it may actually be three pieces. Kostas will tell all 😊

Great video once again, What;s the rule for the hole compared to the work width?
@KostasAnnikasDeftereos5 жыл бұрын
The hole must be the 1/3 of the diameter of the bowl ! Thanks for asking!

Beautiful work as usual. About rules: in English we say "rules are made to be broken", but your translation was fine.
