That is true ! Here we have plenty of olive wood ! But is really hard to find big pieces or other types of wood because the most of the other trees are protected by the law !

What a very beautiful piece Kostas!!! I love your can do attitude! I've had similar problems with pieces that I've turned, once had 7 of the 8 screws break and spent several hours digging the broken screws out. I think that all woodturners have a piece or two that do everything that they can to test us. We just don't give up!! Your village looks beautiful even in the snow. We've had some very cold temperatures here in Fairbanks! Was -45 F just last night. Peace, my friend!!! Please keep the videos coming!

I learned a long time ago that if you work with rough or green wood, you will usually have more frequent events where it shatters. Instead of being upset, I realized that it is the price to work with the material. It makes the successes sweeter. Beautiful bowl and a great way to start the new year.

I have my accordion so every time that something is not go well I stop for a while and I play the accordion ! Καλη χρονια καλλιτεχνη μου με υγεια ! Πολυ ομορφο βγηκε τελικα αξιζε η ταλαιπωρια χαλαλι και τα νευρα! Το εσωσες πολυ μαστορικα ουτε που θα καταλαβαινες οτι ηταν μεγαλυτερο! Υγ: νομιζα οτι ημουν μονο εγω που νευριαζω κ πεταω πραγματα οταν κατι δεν μου παει καλα! Keep calm and create!

Τάκη συνήθως είναι πιο χαλαρός θα ρίξω μια βρισιά και αυτό ήταν σε αυτή την περίπτωση δεν άντεξα είχα ρίξει τόση δουλειά που τα νεύρα μου κλαταραν !

Very nice 👌 My question tho - how u get olive wood dry? Really hard to get it dry without cracks for me so far. I live in sardinia - so , lot of olive trees.

That is a really huge story ! In every place of the world are deferent! The main think they I need to tell you is that you need to cut the wood two months after harvest the olives ! But the day that you woo done this must be one of those days that the moon is not visible ! After you cut the tree you must take it in in big logs ! After one year you can cut them on bowl blanks and a year after that you can turn them! This is what I do and I have really good results!!

Έχω ακούσει ότι το κυπαρισσόξυλο μπορείς να το δουλέψεις μόνο πριν στεγνώσει γιατί είναι πολύ σκληρό. Ξέρετε αν αληθεύει;

Καλησπέρα Σάκη ανάλογος την δουλειά που θέλεις να κάνεις! Στον τορνο συνήθως τα προτείνουμε τα σκληρά ξύλα! Επίσης αν ένα ξύλο το δουλέψουμε χλορο είναι πολύ πιθανών να μας στραβωσει άρα δεν βολεύει πολύ!!!

Καλή χρονιά Κώστα.Άνοιξε τις τρύπες στο faceplate για να βάζεις πιο χοντρές βίδες.Οι νοβοπανόβιδες κόβονται έυκολα ,βάλε καλύτερα τσιμεντόβιδες με κεφαλι αστερακι torx T30.

Μου το έχεις ξαναπεί αλλά δεν βάζω μυαλό χαχαχαχχαχαχχα μ'αρέσει τελικά να ταλαιπορουμε ! Αλλά η αλήθεια είναι ότι έχω τόσο μανία όταν βρω το ξύλο να το βάλω πάνω που ότι βρω μπροστά μου το χρησιμοποιώ !!

Μπορεί αλλά με τη πτώση έχασα 6 cm διάμετρο και αυτό με πλήγωσε πάρα πολύ αλλά τέλος καλό όλα καλά!!
