Yeah but that’s the easy part. You can tell that he cares about the picture being painted while you do it. Most people sacrifice the content for the rhyme or the rhyme for the content. The greatest don’t sacrifice either. And that’s what battle rap always had over regular rap to me. Because you can change the cadence a lil bit. But he’s def one of the top in battle rap to me.

People always talk about Charron, acting like he didn't already prove his worth like 6 years ago against Tay Roc? When Tay and Serius got into a shouting match, mans confidently said he'd beat em both, and was not lying. You can hate his voice, but the bars are there. He's clearly garnered a following for a reason and when he's in his bag, he's great. Regardless, he's been in battle rap a long time and he's here to stay. I've personally seen better performances from both Hollow and Charron, but the downplaying is crazy!

Not everybody can be bigg k or joey gambello with the gun and drug talk, and if they tried that angle, how many would believe them? I'm not necessarily trying to put charron on a pedestal. I'm just saying, for what he does, and how he does it? The number of big names he's gotten? He's been around for a good minute and garnered a following, yet so many people still treat him like a novice. I personally like charron better than a ward, but that's just me.

@kinglocccss both of them had bars that battle. Tay roc is a fan favorite, and the king of gas. Hell, charron gassed himself a bit in that battle. He still had a good first round, picking apart roc's over reliance on gun bars and a solid third (especially rebuttal wise). Off bars alone? I'd say that battle came down to personal preference. If we wanna talk about performance and aggression? Obviously, I'd give it to tay roc. That fact that charron did as well as he did and got tay roc in the first place is more what I'm getting at. He's battled his fair share of big names, and proved himself time and time again. Him and chef trez had a helluva battle. Charron is far from my favorite, but he's far from the worst too. 🤷🏿‍♂️

Some parts were flat, but other parts totally epitomized what freestyle rap battling is. Like when he rebutted ill mac saying he would knock Jin back in to freestyle Friday week 1... Then Jin came back with... If you battled me un freestyle Friday week 1..... you would be the weak one in Freestyle Friday week 1! I know it seems simple... But a quick counter hook can ba a Ko shot. When he said that it did transport back to that whole vibe and energy of freestyle battling. It was like a thunderbolt.
