If you count success by number of battles completed, then Uno Lavoz is one of the most accomplished emcees of the past few years. Having only been in the circuit for roughly two years, the Philadelphia representative has already participated in more battles than almost anyone. After working his way through the lower ranks during GrindTime's last few months, Uno has moved on to battle in King of the Dot, Don't Flop, Real Talk, and various other smaller leagues across the country. With higher profile matchups against the likes of Dirtbag Dan, Lunar C, Jonny Storm and F.L.O., Lavoz has been moving up in the ranks, perfecting his craft and establishing his reputation. Known for his trademark style, Uno Lavoz is always quick with a joke or an outrageous comparison, but is also able to drop bars on his opponents, making him a versatile threat in the ring. Back in the King of the Dot ring, Uno takes on one of his toughest opponents yet in Madness.
Beginning to battle with a higher frequency, Madness has returned at least in part to the high demand for his battling style. A product of the GrindTime era, he built his name up in the Florida and Fresh Coast scenes, battling fellow veterans such as Illmaculate, The Saurus, Iron Solomon, and Soul Khan. One of the first to pioneer the more heavily comical side of battling, Madness become extremely popular for his humorous comparisons and movie bars, establishing himself as a heavyweight, no pun intended. After a brief hiatus following the demise of his "home" league, Madness has jumped back on the horse with renewed vigor, battling in King of the Dot and Don't Flop several times. Showing no signs of having missed a beat, the Florida native is back in KOTD yet again to take on Uno Lavoz, in what many consider to be a battle of the jokesters, in this next release from Blackout 3.

Madness bodied himself here. Trying to copy Aye Verb's "that's how you talk to your son" bit was just embarrassing, and half his bars just weren't great. Plus he could've at least respected Uno during his rounds and shut the fuck up. Uno made Madness look like an absolute joke here. People should stop underestimating him.

Anyone who says Madness outbarred Uno has no idea what they're talking about. Uno absolutely WRECKED his first verse. He had more quotable lines in the one verse than Madness did in all 3. I was actually surprised because the battles I've seen from him so far were NOTHING of this caliber. Either he's really been half assing like nobody's business, or someone else was writing this shit behind the scenes

Incorrect. Both came with jokes in the first and Uno clearly got that round. Can't deny that Madness got the second and quite comfortably. Uno got the third by talking to Madness on a level. He broke down exactly how Madness approaches all of his battles - he doesn't prepare properly, his bars aren't good enough to compete with where battling is at now and is arrogant enough to claim he wins everytime.

I feel like Uno Lavos brings a very original style, despite his rhythm not being as good as say...Arsonal. However, his comedic timing is incredible, his delivery creates great haymakers, and I personally think his laid back personality in this battle was cooler than Madness trying to make him look like a sloppy/stupid clown. I mean, Uno had punchlines woven into punchlines, which were all part of bigger schemes. Uno has had close calls in the past, but he had so many haymakers that he demolished Madness in this.

This was a toss up for me, I have to say that Madness is probably one of my all time favorite battle rappers, I don't think his punches are landing as hard as they used to, or what they should have, I do agree with him on the crowd, I felt that his bars and delivery were on point, I say that, but honestly Uno just walked all over him, first and second go to Uno, third goes to madness without a problem.
