Great video sensi! I enjoyed my first Koto Ryu session a few years ago- and this was a much needed refresher. I look forward to the next one !

Mr. Stevens, as always, love your vids. I was just asking my sensei about doing a deep dive into Koto Ryu recently as I'm a stalky fellow and very earthy and feel it would suit my style. Very straightforward and lots of room for henka. I like your explanation of staying zanshin, these remind me psychologically of Iaido kata, I guess it all ties together once you're at your level. I'll get close someday hopefully! Stay Zanshin :)

Why you guys so stiff? These are supposed to be surprise attacks or attacking when you feel his intention. They would feel you coming a mile away.

Still perfecting it. It had been awhile since I had done the scroll straight through. We worked on it for a few hours and filmed as we went along. We did what we could do that day. I think once we get more familiar with the patterns things will smooth out.

Bad taijutsu. You need more flexibility and more work with body wheigt changes technique.
