Kotobukiya Beetlejuice Horror Bishoujo Statue Red Tuxedo Version Review

I would watch a movie with this character in it. The sculpt is always amazing on their statues. The hair always stands out to me.

I still have a hard time imagining horror icons dressed up as sexy scantily clad female Anime characters. I appreciate the creativity and sculpt that goes into crafting the statues. However, I don't find them appealing. That's just my own personal opinion though. I also appreciate the fact that Kotobukiya allows collectors, from time to time, to be able to swap out head sculpts when it comes to certain horror Bishoujo statues. Being able to do so with different with different statue releases was something that I definitely didn't expect, as is the case with Beetlejuice. Otherwise, thanks as always Spot for another great video. Keep it up!

They really do an amazing job of turning the 2D art reference into a 3D model that must be really hard to do well. I have a few statues from Japan based on just a 2D image of what it should look like from one angle too and they're genuinely impressive.

It's a nice statue, but IMHO it no longer looks like Beetlejuice. If it wasn't for the book, you'd have no idea who it was paying homage to. The original statue at least had the outfit which stood out. Maybe if they did something to make her face look more like Michael Keaton's makeup. Shadows around the eyes etc?

well he does wear this suit in the movie, but yeah I get what you're saying you tend to think of Beetlejuice with the black and white striped Suit

I was going to say the same thing. Nice statue but doesn't scream Beetlejuice to anyone but the most hard-core fans. Maybe having her riding a sandworm or about to be eaten by one would have helped connect it to the character more.

I wonder how many Beetlejuice fans are actually fans. I say this because I rewatched the movie not so long ago and it was VERY disapointing. So people may claim it´s an awesome movie but that´s because they haven´t watched it for years.
