I think he is speaking his truth and wants to share his life story with other people in hopes of helping them. I don’t get the impression money is his end game. His motivation is to help his family, especially his kids. Also he tries to help people he encounters. Because of his positive energy the universe responds to him in a positive way. When he started his spiritual journey he didn’t have a lot of money, but he had a desire to change his life and his situation, which he has done. As far as people being persecuted because of their faith, it’s my understanding of the Christian faith everything is God’s plan. So I would think God has a different plan for him. It’s also my understanding in the Christian faith people should not question God’s plan for them, but believe things are going to change for the better based on their belief in God.
