Anthony was NEVER a bad guy. He just did a f'ked up thing in his marriage. That doesn't make him an inhumane person, it makes him a f'ked up husband. There's a big difference. Diesel is the one who needed this act of kindness so that he'd give Ant some grace and less judgement, because CLEARLY he's not going to want anyone judging him because of his issues. Which seems to be kind of the point of the skit. Oh D needs to give Ant some grace because he's clearly battling his own demons.
