This happened to me many years ago in a coffee shop . I don’t even remember what happened but a group of older European men started laughing like this till they were crying and then everyone else couldn’t stop.. it went on for like 10 mins. Cool to connect to strangers we all felt good after that.
@susanivy36192 жыл бұрын
Something similar happened to me but I was the one laughing. I was 16 yrs. old working at the checkout at the library and It's WAY too long ago for me to remember why but I started laughing, hysterically and couldn't stop. A line of people started forming and all I could do was stand there and laugh like an id!ot and while I was waiting for one of them to start cursing or screaming at me for wasting their time, THEY started laughing, the whole line of maybe 8 people, a few even laughing as hysterically as I was. Then just when we all started to catch our breath some guy walked over and asked "what was that all about?"...the confusion on his face when a few people replied a version of "I have no idea" and one pointing at me "ask her". I was SO embarrassed, but they all looked so sullen and downtrodden just a few minutes prior, the laughing (at nothing) really put a smile on their faces, so it's just a nice memory now (and lesson about laughing being contagious). I didn't mean for this to be so long, so if you made it this far, 🫴🏆 you've earned it ;).

Me and my friend shared a silly joke just before entering a lift. We were visiting a friend.. She was far from me and it was completely packed.. We had an eye contact and started to giggle... Tried our best to control.. We couldn't.. Our giggles escalated to hysterical laughs...The people around us started smiling and looking at our laughing tears and one grandpa burst out laughing and as if everyone were waiting for it the 15+ people were laughing uncontrollably. We all had smiles when we got out saying our byes to complete strangers.

In the summer of 2016, I was working for a company that sold a bunch of fitness related stuff. They were starting a frozen meal delivery subscription service, and on one particular day, I spent 6 hours moving many pallets of Styrofoam meant to inulate the frozen meals during shipping from one warehouse to another with a forklift. The warehouses were around another space in that commercial park that was occupied by a gymnastics studio, and on this day, the only person in the commercial park near where I was driving the forklift was one of the gymnastics moms, who was there when none of the other kids were meeting for some reason. She was just leaning against her car and looking at her phone. Anyway, since I had so much time to myself driving the same short route back and forth, my mind was wandering, and at some point went to a place that made me start to laugh, right as I was passing the gymnastics mom, so then I started to think about how odd it must've been for her to see me burst into laughter alone on a forklift right as I passed her, and those thoughts made it difficult to suppress laughter by the time I had to go back past her again. Suppressing the laughter only made me laugh right as I was passing her again, and since I had to keep driving past her over and over again, it was difficult to stop laughing about the weird situation. I must've driven past her on the forklift 5 or 6 times in 5 minutes, laughing the whole time. I kept thinking that the best explanation for it from her perspective must be that I'm laughing at her for some reason, which I kept thinking was so funny because she wasn't doing anything at all to warrant it. It's not an example of contagious laughter, but this comment reminded me of it.

It was a rough year for me, but he made life brighter, even if it was only for a few minutes. People like that bring the best out of humanity, and it’s something that always stays with you.
