This companion of prophet came to Chennai to give of dawah of tawheed which is to worship Allah ta'ala alone, but sad to see how some ignorants took his grave itself as an object of worship instead of worshipping or dua to Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) and completely disregarding the message of monotheism and struggle he did to convey the message that prophet bought to this humanity which is to save the people from darkness of polytheism to light of tawheed(monotheism.). And these grave worshippers end up following religion of pagan arabs prior to the prophethood rather than following the religion of islam. May Allah ta'ala grant us correct knowledge and actions

He came here to advise the people to worship their one creator alone who has no partners or associates or children or spouse or any equal. And to warn the people from associating partners with one true God who alone deserves all kinds of worship. And free the people from devil's religion of polytheism or worshipping the creation or idols
