Chennai Metro is doing a big blunder. They are going to get 3 Car Metro train sets for Phase 2. But, as of now Today 3.41 K passengers had Used Metro service in 1 Day. 3Car Metro cannot support this crowd.

Proposed Koyambedu - Avadi metro route alignment will go via Mogappair i guess. As of now this metro extension project is in DPR stage. Once it get approval in future metro work will start in this section

CMBT will be closed by this year end.

@@All_is_well1211 No but initially metro station was planned for CMBT . But now bus stand shifted to Kilambakkam so plan was dropped

Nice coverage. Did they finalized this "Anna Nagar Kendriya Vidyalaya" name for the metro station near VR mall ? In Bengaluru, all the existing metro stations have either pure kannada name or mix of Kannada and English name. They didn't allow other languages except English for the metro stations name. Still VR can utilize this chance to add their name to that metro station.

@@WhiteSky-21 As per Chennai metro official map update it is mentioned as Anna Nagar KV Metro. May be during inauguration time we will know all metro stations final name list. May be VR Mall owners can go for semi naming ( prefix ) station name contract option which allows metro station name can be prefix their brand name for certain period ( maximum 3 years i guess )
