I am very pleased to see you back. Your quality of work is always on par. Your going to always own your beautiful Honda so later down the road give Fueltech electricals strong consideration. Hondata is a quality set up however you will absolutely be blown away with fueltach. Super good video. Already looking forward to the next upload 👍

I may have missed it or just don't know. When you install a new radiator you want to flush the system with water, a little coolant and bleed it? Why did you not add standard coolant and just water?
@bvspeed2 жыл бұрын
It’s a car that strictly see’s the track and not the streets. Tracks like it when you run just water, so it’s less cleanup if your cooling system decides to puke all over the track. Before the winter, I’ll add normal coolant to make sure it doesn’t freeze and destroy the engine.

@@bvspeed ahh okay that makes sense! Hope this new radiator serves you well.

Let us know wnen you go to Autobahn again. I live nearby, and would love to see how it all works. Maybe an episode from a noob driver perspective? I want to see if the lifestyle works for me.

Nice install, but there is absolutely no reason to loop your heater hoses like that, it's best to keep them plugged off. There's already a bypass built into the thermostat housing, which is why the coolant still flows properly with the heater off. By looping the heater hoses that way, all you are doing is giving the hot coolant a path to bypass the radiator and go right back into the engine uncooled. There's a reason the thermostat has a disc on the back to block off the bypass when it's open. There are also good reasons why Hondas and many other cars have a valve that shuts off the coolant flow to the heater whenever it's not on.

Awesome build. Question, I did a b18b swap on my 95 Del Sol. I live in Cali and want to make it road legal, for that I need to wire an OBDII port. Do you have any knowledge on what wire goes were?
@bvspeed2 жыл бұрын
I’m not too familiar with the legalities in Cali, but I’m aware that it can be a pain in the ass. My guess would be to find an interior harness from a 96-97 del sol which are OBD2 and go from there. I’m assuming you’d need an OBD2 ECU from a 96-98 Integra as well? Again, just a few things off the top of my head that I think would need attention. Not actual legal advice lol

Nice work bro 🔥 may I asking question? I have D series want to change full size by Koyorad, the standard radiator fan and also AC is it still can be use or must change? And the second question is how about with the standard AC condenser too is it still can be use? Thanks bro
@bvspeed Жыл бұрын
I'm assuming this is in a Civic? If you go full size, then you lose the spot where the AC condenser is supposed to go. If you feel like you need more cooling potential, just go with a thicker half-size radiator.
@Thedamndemons Жыл бұрын
@@bvspeed I see thanks bro. I think about the AC condenser can move in front of radiator if I want to change full size radiator, and the standar fan for AC still using it

How is the hood fitment? Any contacts?
@bvspeed2 жыл бұрын
Fitment sucked, but it wasn’t because of the radiator. It was because of my radiator support that was all messed up. Other than that, it fits perfectly fine.
@chaleeher19922 жыл бұрын
@bvspeed I see. I plan on doing the same to my eg with an integra radiator but didn't know if the hood would close properly. Thanks maybe I might run a full-size radiator

What engine temps where you getting with the alpha skunk rad, and what kind of temps are you getting now with the full koyo rad? I have a similar build and with ac still on the car the highest I’ve seen is 198 at a stop light with ac on.
@bvspeed2 жыл бұрын
Haven’t driven it on the new koyo yet. Temps were fine with the Alpha and my stock GSR. The new built B20V is producing more heat now. I’m sure I could get away with ducting the half size, but throwing in a full size was just easier. Also, you’re speaking in terms of temps on a street car. This thing is only track driven and spends most of its life at 5k+.
