What's up everyone, on this episode I'll be installing a brand new Mishimoto Performance Radiator, along with a slim fan and new hoses.
(FULL DISLCOSURE: I am part of Mishimoto's Sponsorship Program)
But that being said... it doesn't take away from the fact that this is one of the most popular radiator installs for any Honda Civic!!!! And it's relatively not that complicated and can be done in 1 weekend.
The longest part of this install is by far the coolant flush part. The whole cooling down and warming up takes about an hour/flush sooo just a heads up if you guys plan on doing this install. And also the Mishimoto hoses..... watch the video and you will see why....

I think the issue you had with the hoses was, the hoses are for D-series, but your radiator is for B-series. The engines have different hose sizes.

You know that actually would make sense! Thanks, I guess when i do decide to finally go B Series ill have the perfect radiator for it… but then ill need new hoses 😂

@@projectgoodspeed I think D-series is 28mm and B-series is 32mm. I never seen someone having to use a heatgun to install hoses 😂 Good video though.

@@Lizzeth-pb3bs Buy the correct radiator. Your engine’s water necks can’t be changed.

The radiator is sized for a b16 engine. But you have a d16. So the hoses are not going to be 32mm. I don't even know if they sell 28mm to 32mm hoses

I wonder if this is the same package deal they have on their website that comes as a kit radiator hose and fan

@SanJo408.. I haven’t looked recently but when i bought mine the fan and the radiator was a kit, the hoses were not.. but im not sure its been years😅

Mishimoto makes quality radiators. When fluching just a touch of CLR works great. My Go-Autoworks triple core sure took some time to get correct. It's on my channel. Please join.

@hockeyfreak043 I wouldnt exactly say its been fixed since it was never really a Big issue… my car is basically stock soo i dont really NEED a bigger Radiator BUT i definitely dont have any heating issues till this day, if thats what your asking!👍

Would this radiator fit in a stock civic eg automatic transmission??

@johnnyalvarado6031 Yes, it should. The engine bays are identical between automatic & manual. The transmission shouldn’t affect the fitment👍

Where did you get the plugs for the radiator, The Mishi Moto comes with these threaded holes on the bottom and it didn’t come with anything to plug it

Really? Yours didnt come with a drain plug?Mine came with its own radiator plug its pretty big.. id recommend getting in touch with them and see if they might be able to send you one.

@Nakazumy You know i dont remember BUT i think it should since each of these parts come as separate items instead of 1 replacement part. BUT im not too sure its been a minute since i installed them 😅

@Nakazumy Yeahh i was thinkin about doin the exact same thing 😂 But shiny parts are shiny parts!!!😤👍 one thing i didnt like thoo, just a heads up, is that its a little louder lol usually my “stock” civic is quiet but when that fan kicks on….😅 definitely noticeable lol
