Mine was brown water and after settling for a week turned dark red. I have always installed auxiliary transmission coolers on mine. Hayden rapid cool #579 works great

Did the transmission cooler add more oil capacity , or is it still them same amount as with radiator cooler ? Thanks and great channel and good info.

You might what to invest in something like a Derale 15719 Fluid Control Thermostat Kit.

Why? An auxiliary thermostat will not bypass the transmission cooler because he removed the stock radiator. A thermostat would be just another failure point
