Hey! Isn’t that Koyudo beautiful?! I got both of them, the black gray squirrel/saikoho and the red saibikoho. I love this set so much:) Question for you.. is your ferrule perfectly round or is it slightly flat in some places? Both of mine aren’t completely round- especially the red one- it almost looks as though they’re dented because there’s no rhyme or reason to the indentations. It looks as though they were dinged almost.. but not quite. It’s just flatter in some areas, but it looks like it’s supposed to be perfectly round. I just wanted someone else’s opinion about theirs because I’m wondering if I should at least try to exchange the red one. I don’t think the black one is available at all anymore:/

@PiXie232 Hi lovely! Yes, it absolutely is! Wow, such a beautiful pairing. You are so lucky to own both. 🩷 It's round up until the last 20% where you see the area that protrudes on the top. At that point it flattens out up until the top of the ferrule but it is still round if that makes sense. Have you compared yours with other people's as well and the stock images from where you bought it from?

It’s good to hear from you!💕 Yes, I am so, so grateful that I was able to get them both- I ordered them separately and the black one (it shipped out a week later than the red) was lost in the mail! DHL’s shipping partner delivered it to someone else and for over a week I was beyond distraught! We tried tracking it down but they couldn’t because DHL wouldn’t give the name of the third party shipping company- which they didn’t have tracking either so the tracking stopped once DHL handed it over. It was a huge mess and I was beside myself lol.. but then a week later we got a knock on our door and it was our neighbor in the next apartment building over- (same unit number as us I believe) and he had it the whole time!! I literally started crying out of relief! 🥲😂 So, yes, I’m thrilled I actually “have” the pair!! But anyway, I did look at as many pictures I could find to see if I could tell if it was just mine that were like that or if it was how they were meant to be, and tbh I couldn’t tell from any of the pictures/videos. It just looks haphazard where it has been pressed in, there doesn’t seem to be any particular way they chose to lightly crimp it in those areas. But, I think I’ll probably just hang onto them.. I honestly didn’t notice until I had them both together for a week and was really inspecting them. (I think it was when I washed them that I first noticed it). But it does sound like yours is the same way so that makes me feel better:)♥️ Oh and I got the Rephr 3D today too after I saw your video! I am so excited for that.. I adore 3D tilted brushes- and the fact it’s saibikoho and thicker than the original one is fantastic! I can’t wait!! Have you got any other beautiful brushes lately?❤️❤️❤️

@PiXie232 I hope you're doing well!! 💖 Wow, that must've been so stressful and anxiety-inducing! I'm sorry that you went through that. I totally understand how you would cry out of relief. Shipping issues are our worst nightmares! 😭I'm just so glad to hear that you got the brush in the end and they're a happy pair now. Hmm, do your ferrules look like mine? I move them from side to side at the end of the short so you can see how it's flat and protrudes from the side. Yay for getting the Rephr 3D Cheek Brush!! It's such a terrific brush and the I like it more than the original based on first impression. 😍 I love the 3D shape as well! I hope you love it. 🩷 It's not recent but I got the Eihodo P-1 in the light sakura makie design a while back, Koyudo blush brushes like the Ksz-03 and their special price gray squirrel and goat one, some Eihodo special price brushes, and more over the past year. How about you? Did you end up getting the Aliexpress brushes with the pink lacquered handle? Which ones did you get?
