🩺 I'm glad I came back and rewatched this video. I was on the fence about the rephr 37 bc of the sale, but I have the Wayne Goss 13 in undyed and dyed versions AND Sonia G Face Two. No need for the 37.

Terrific video. I wish there were other you tubers creating content like this. New and refreshing. I have now subscribed to your channel and am looking forward to your next video. Thank you, P.S. I am a die hard Sonia G brush fan. They are more than a cut above the rest.

Thank you so much for all your kind comments! I'm sure there are other youtubers out there making similar content, but they can be so hard to find. (The search and recommendation algorithms could be so much better.) But I'm so happy you found my channel 🥰 Sonia G brushes deserve all the praise they get and more. I'm convinced at this point the only mistake you can make buying Sonia G brushes is getting a brush shape/type that doesn't work for you. The actual brushes are always exquisite and innovative with consistent excellent quality.

Brush Junkie has lots of brush reviews on her channel (the last three months of her content is based on the fires in Hawaii, as she's from Hawaii - lots of brush content earlier to this). Keep Beauty Real has a few brush reviews. Alicia Archer has a range of brush reviews on her channel. Jaybirdwalking is another channel that mostly has brush reviews and is informative.

@@nicolefraley7404 Yes! I love those channels (just watched Sofia's review on the new brush releases today!) I think the other commenters have listed most of the other channels I know and love, but I'd also like to add BoB Mindset - she does wonderful in depth reviews on brushes she has had for a long time (mostly Sonia G). As another commenter said, Alicia Archer has wonderful brush reviews. Aside from Fude Kuyn and Fluffy Fude, I think she has the best footage in her reviews. She does an excellent job of getting you up close to the brush and showing the shape and functionality. When it comes to fude reviews, I actually find that the most useful ones for me are often from people who have a one-off video on them. For example, I've been looking for reviews on Wayne Goss's new E2 and E3 brushes, and Makeup Unfiltered posted a great review that helped me understand those brushes a bit better. She only has three videos posted though, so her channel was hard to find. At some point, I need to go through my youtube history and compile some of the best fude reviews that are hard to find.

🩺Sonia G Face Two is back as the Soft Buffer. Rephr does a decent job in the eye brushes, but face brushes bigger than a certain size can be scratchy. My recommendation is: Sonia G =/> Wayne Goss > Rephr. Also, it's rumored that the manufacturer that makes Wayne's brushes make Rephr, but Wayne's is always softer. Signing off, an overly obsessed Fude lover 😅

🤦‍♀Omg you are right, I totally forgot about the Soft Buffer! Thank you for the correction! And agree on the brand ranking - they are all lovely, but Sonia G always has impeccable quality. Wayne Goss's tapered brushes have my heart though 💕

Great review! I’m on the fence between the new Wayne Goss eye set or saving my Beautylish points for Sonia G’s holiday release next month that’s she’s supposed to announce soon. I have her Pro and Sky eye sets so I couldn’t justify purchasing her newest fundamentals set but I’m still tempted by the WG (or whether to hold off for SG holiday). I want it all but my wallet just can’t 😂

👀 👀 Oh goodness, I didn't realize Sonia G was going to have a holiday release too! She really is delivering with all these new releases. They are all so tempting. The Wayne Goss crease brushes (E2, E3) are calling to me, and I'll probably end up buying them once I can see a few good reviews on them (and once they restock). Wayne's brushes might have a bit more variable quality than Sonia G's but imo he makes the best tapered brushes. My wallet is not safe 😭

@@blathering. Yesss, my willpower is being tested this month for sure 😆 I’m definitely intrigued with some of the WG shapes since I don’t have any like them. That said I adore Sonia G and have never been disappointed in any product of hers I’ve purchased. She eluded to a holiday release in her blog post last month but details haven’t been announced yet. Beautylish is definitely coming for our wallets 😂

Hello beautiful....new friend here....I have been contemplating getting these or singe brushes. I still haven't made up my mind yet 😕

Hello! Thank you so much for your kind comment 🥰 Buying new brushes is always exciting and also kind of stressful haha. Unfortunately, I don't know much about Singe brushes (or synthetic brushes in general tbh). I'm sure there are plenty of reviews of the brand out there, and I hope you can find some that are useful to you. Maybe one thing to consider if you've already narrowed it down to Rephr or Singe is to think about what makeup products you will be using with them and how those products might work with the brush fibers. Do you use mostly powder? Mostly cream? Liquid? If you use mostly liquid or cream products, I'd recommend going with synthetic. If you, like me, use almost exclusively powder products, I'd go with natural hair. Also, I know it's very tempting to get a really big set of brushes from whichever brand you choose, but I'd actually recommend just getting a small handful of brushes (maybe 5?). That way you can try them out for a while and see if you like how they work with your makeup and hold up. You can always go back and buy more if you like them, and if you don't end up liking them then at least you didn't put all your eggs in one basket. I was originally considering getting all of Rephr's brushes when I ordered, and I'm really happy I decided not to do that 😅 Whichever brushes you choose, I hope you love them! ❤️

If you like Rephr 16 you would love the 15,14,and 13 and the new mini Rephr brush set.

You know, I keep on thinking about picking up those, especially that mini set from Rephr. They are so enticing! I think I'll work with my collection as is for a bit longer, but I do need another crease brush at some point.

I’ve never used a fan brush, can you recommend which one you use for blush? Appreciate this video, I don’t think there is enough Fude videos out there. Since Fude can be so pricey I think it’s so helpful to hear different peoples perspectives on different brushes.
@blathering.
@blathering. 9 ай бұрын
Totally agree! I go and binge watch everything I can before I purchase since they are such an investment. Everyone has different preferences, face shape, and skin type though, so it's so important to have input from lots of different people! I only have fan brushes from Sonia G (Sculpt 2, Sculpt 3, Sculpt 4, and Fan Pro). I originally got fan brushes for blush since I was having a hard time getting the precision and blending that I wanted. I use Sculpt 2, Sculpt 3, and Fan Pro interchangeably for blush. Sculpt 3 and Fan Pro are the same brush except one is dyed and one is undyed goat hair, which I thought would make a decent difference, but it really does not to me. Fan Pro might have a little better blending power, but it's not really noticeable. Sculpt 2 is a bit bigger and more plush feeling, but still gives me the precision and blend that I want. If I had to choose one, I'd go with Sculpt 2 because I enjoy the experience of using it the most, but imo they all perform the same way for me with powder blush. I don't recommend Sculpt 4 for blush as it's a bit denser and stiffer. Might be good for cream blush, and I imagine this one was intended for contour (which I don't use lol). Hope this helps!

Oh no! This is what I worry about when I buy from Rephr. There's some brush types that I can handle a bit of scratchiness from (like an all over powder brush), but others that I have zero tolerance for any scratchiness (crease brushes apparently). I hope you have other brushes that you love 💖
