I do all my Chinese paintings with inktense on rice paper, they are very vibrant , transparent and easy do layers.

Keep them out of direct sunlight, the Inktense colours have variable light fastness.

Can rice paper been eaten? I'm thinking of painting on rice paper for some visual art followed by eating that same painting as a piece of performance art. So if I can't get recognition from my actual painting then I could maybe get some recognition in the performance piece. 😂 Incidentally, I've subscribed on the basis of your "smarmy hello."

😂 Art rice paper isn’t edible. There are food grade rice papers but I don’t know if you can paint on them. I’d be careful about the paint and pigments too. Some colours are toxic af.
