Low Strike-Rates in defensive players is usually just a fear of getting out playing attacking shots. Have a few reliable and consistent shots, and when the ball is in your area, commit to them.

You can't call yourself a cricket fan, it's simply a crime to come out and say KP cannot play the short ball. Mitch Johnson simply had the best 2 months of his life, he performed far better here then against India, and tore the entire England lineup apart, not forgetting KP was the highest english run scorer in that series. Have a look at KP's first test hundred when he was batting for the ashes pulling Brett Lee bowling at 94 mph into the stands ball after ball. Can't play the short ball my ass!
