Unfortunately, yes. She's a great performer, but she has never been able to sing Firework properly, even when she was younger. She's a husky contralto trying to sing a mezzo-soprano song with a high belt. Never a good combination.

During greatest love of all, she did a 16 seconds notes , it was so powerful and impressive. She can flip from chest to head voice so easily and from a falsetto to a high vibrato, she's amazing 🤩

This is absolutely beautiful, hearing her real voice. Caveat is that live performances can be pitch-corrected in real time, so I'm always suspicious of that. But I took my niece to a Katy Perry concert back in 2019 and was so disappointed in her-- the entire show was lip-synced and it was very obvious. This restores my faith in her superhuman talent.
