You guys need to realize just how dedicated K-pop idols are. If you're only doing it for your "oppa" you aren't going to get anywhere. Idols train for years on end, and even more if you don't speak Korean. It's not even worth it if all you want to do is gush over your favs. There is so much going on behind the scenes and if you really want to become an idol you must be prepared for that.

Hime Mochida actually I also ask myself why I want to be a kpop idol is it because Of oppa thing and my answer is no, kpop inspired me In everything, when i was a kid i hatee dancing in front of many people i was shy I'm not good at it but when I became a kpop fan I push my self to learn it because idols inspire me to do that even I can't and now I am deciding to audition at the Bighit but I am already 16 yrs old Im afraid that they will not accept me but I still want to try it because my dream is to be a idol BTW I'm a Filipino I have a Good voice that I'm still learning it and I actually love to dance I'm not ugly that's why I have confidence too

@@ongxieong1484 Omg same! I've been inspired by my idols a lot because they are so talented! They don't only do one thing but they do so much more! They sing, rap, and dance which is just amazing knowing how hard it must be to do that. But I just think it's really cool that they do this and just by watching these cool performances in award shows just like MMA, MAMA, Golden Disk Awards, etc., I just find it really interesting to watch and tbh I really want to do that one day. I want to make people happy, singing and dancing in front of people, and see many people smiling along with me. That would be the most beautiful thing ever even though I know how struggling it is behind the lives of kpop idols. Although it may be tough, I still have that passion to become one and I hope one day I'll get there! idk if I will tbh. I'm also a Filipino who is 16 years old that wants to become a kpop idol. People say I have a really beautiful voice but I haven't really practiced dancing yet which I might have to improve on. But you know, let's not give up and chase for our dreams! If this is what we want to do in life, and if this is what makes us happy, we should just go for it! What's very tough for me is that my parents don't even support me for my dreams which is sad:( My dad thinks I'm not talented enough to even succeed but tbh I feel like one day I will! I have confidence because whenever I sing to people there are so many people who compliment me and you know, I never expect that much but it just makes me very grateful! These people have really gained my confidence and I believe one day if I try hard enough, I will succeed! Let's keep fighting fellow Filipino! Fighting💪

There are so many young kpop fans in the comments wanting to audition and honestly its great you're trying to gain information about auditions and that you're chasing your dreams but many need to realise that the kpop world is brutally harsh. I'm sure everyone knows the trainee life is difficult but its a lot more than physical pain...even if you get accepted as a trainee its so hard to be able to debut (especially if you're not asian bc this is the KOREAN pop industry after all!) You may waste years of your youth training without your family and comparing yourself to others, being forced to diet, in crowded trainee dorms and probably not much freedom. And debuting doesn't equal success, i bet a lot of you haven't even heard of 24k, ROMEO, a.de and berry good. i assure you they work just as hard as your favourite groups but dont get much attention :( if this is what you really want, please consider carefully and research about different companies as well bc companies like bighit literally only have bts and are hip-hop based. they weren't great with their girl group GLAM so think about what you really want!

I was just reading the comments and realised there were a few talking about how you shouldn't waste your youth when you might not even debut. Yes, you might go through a tough few years of constant training, dieting, criticism and injuries, and in the end you might not even debut, but you're not alone. You would've made some friends that have gone through the same hardships as you during their trainee experience. Even if the trainees didn't debut, they can still proudly say that they've followed their dreams of becoming kpop idols and were close to reaching it. If you audition and you're accepted, don't give up no matter how tough it is. Prove to everyone you're stronger. You've already gone far, so you might as well just complete your journey. I think that's because they can reject applications in seconds. They won't deeply review each and every single one because they simply don't have the time for it. You get a callback if you catch their eye in some way, but otherwise if you're not outstanding it's a very low chance

Those who follow the kpop idols all want to be like them. And I want it too that I could be like them. But the sad reality is I cannot. As your mother said we cannot do it 'cause we are not rich and it is true. We have to spend years on the harsh trainings and no one knows we can succeed or not. And also even we can succeed who knows if the group will last. And it is even harder if we are not Korean.. But try your best who knows what will happen in the future..

It's kinda late but I think when you, yourself are ready enough for the big challenges and circumstances. You could be a trainee for your whole life when the management still didn't see the potential in you to become an idol. I know I don't have the complete authority to answer these questions but I am Korean-Chinese American, and here are some questions with my answers. I try not to be rude, racist or have no respect but many ask for straightforward answers. 1) Can I be a kpop star if I'm not Korean? If you're trying to get into the big companies.. probably not. :( sorry. Kpop is best represented by Koreans. You could maybe if you're Thai, Chinese, Japanese, etc with fair skin. 2) What if I can't speak Korean? You can always learn :) but if you're planning to audition very soon you need to know Korean. Kpop idols sing in Korean you know 3) Do I have to move to Korea to train if I get in? Of course. The company is most likely in Seoul, and unless if you have guardians there or go to boarding or private or school with dorms, it will be hard for teens and people under 18-20. Especially if you have financial issues, moving to a new country will be a big change and adjustment in your life. However, NEVER GIVE UP! You may never know what you will become. So 화이팅!! ❤️

I'm a 12 year old girl who has been inlove with KPop Groups for a while especially BTS [AYE MY ARMY PUT CHO HANDS IN THE AIRR] my dream is to become a Kpop Idol or atleast a Trainee. I plan on auditioning for BIGHIT and DreamT, but I'm going to do an online audition and pray I get called back. The problem is I am Vietnamese and there aren't much Vietnamese Idols I know of so I'm scared I'm going to get rejected, I'm starting off with small groups. I don't want to go into bad bad companies like SM who judges you for your looks or JVP who judges you for like the first 20 seconds. I'm not auditioning anytime soon because I still need to find a song and learn the lyrics, but I can't speak full Korean, I only know the basics. I think this is an appropriate age for me to audition because more Kpop groups like SNSD auditioned during ages 10-17. I'm just wondering should I sing the whole song I choose or a part of it because in an Audition I watched I saw only a girl singing a short amount of that song.

Ever since I was little, I heard K-pop and wondered what language it was until I was about 5 I found out it was Korean. I am hispanic but was bullied for looking asian. I hid the secret of me loving this new type of music genre from my parents since they were Christian and they thought that K-pop wasn't christian. Now that I am 13 I decided that I really want to be a K-pop Idol and train hard because it honestly its the path I chose for my life. And honestly Now that my mom knows I listen to Korean Music she is fine with it, and I felt relieved since she is also fine with me wanting to learn Korean. And I am happy because my parents helped me along the way. But I also had my doubts of being small and gaining weight. I practice everyday after school with dancing and singing in pure Korean. I've been listening to BTS since their debut up to ENHYPEN and their debut. No matter how hard the trainee life will be, Its the path I chose and I will work hard. I wish all of you who want to be a k-pop idol Good luck and you guys will make it! Just keep believing and don't doubt yourself by watching a trainee's life just picture yourself on stage and knowing you made it.
