just as a reminder for those ppl thinking abt the part where irene said east asians would be more likely to debut. dont get discouraged just dont get your hopes up, it rlly does just depend almost entirely on what the companies looking for but still keep in mind that u should try anyway bcos kpop isnt korean its just based in korea, or else no non koreans including east asians would be accepted

@@salmakhadawi3400 Look. From what you've said, you're implying none of your parents are Korean. After changing your nationality, you're still gonna be Egyptian by blood, and Korean by law. Big difference. You won't suddenly be Korean by race. Does this matter to the company? Probably not. The only thing the Korean nationality grants you is reinforcement that you can speak Korean and other languages, which may be an advantage or not. At the end of the day, making yourself Korean by law will not help you much. Think about it. There's a bunch of idols who are foreigners and not Korean by law. They probably have a visa or something. Did they get into their company because they're Korean? No. It was because of a lot of other factors like talent, visuals and whatever the company wanted or by chance. The only thing you should be doing if you're desperate to get into a company is to train and hone whatever skills you have. And if you're that desperate, the K-pop industry isn't the only industry you can get into. You're clutching onto straws here if you're looking for the tiniest reasons to give you reassurance to get into a company. Tldr: Your nationality has very little influence over whether a company will pick you(according to what the company says).

I think that for most companies you have to pay your debt after your training period. So if you end up not debuting you have to pay back the debt from your own earned money, and when you do debut the money you make from albums, concerts ect. will pay the debt (which means you won't get paid for what you do until you've fully payed off your debt). I think this is how it goes, I heard it from someone so it isn't completely accurate!
