when everglow dropped they were one of THE girl crush groups of the era; with time, the girl crush concept as personally gotten really really worn out by this point since it felt like for a while everybody was trying to cash in on the brand but i think they still manage to stand out from other groups of the time. their momentum slowed down a couple years ago which is such a shame because dun dun and la di da were SMASH HITS :'( the outro to dun dun rocks my world and it never gets old!!!!! pirate is my second favorite title track from them besides la di da ESPECIALLY because it, at least to me, really calls back to the early 2010's energy of kpop girl groups both in sound and look; quirky, fun, bold! always so glad to see you dive into more groups 😄😄 also i'm so glad you appreciated "shiver my timbers" i saw so many fans hating on that line like it was goofy but it's PERFECT! 😆

I'll still never get how Bon Bon Chocolate, La Di Da and Dun Dun DIDN'T get any music show wins. They were literally all over the place. Bon Bon Chocolate is still probably one of the most well known debuts outside of a Big 3 company. Every single one of their songs should have had at least 1 music show win.

Lmao one of the comments in the chat during La di da "shes venting" 🤣 They're supposedly supposed to have a comeback after they finish their European tour so I can't wait! Discovered Everglow back after they relased Dun Dun and their edm sound had me hooked and never looked back! They're such an underrated group! Highly recommend checking out their song Adios it is fire too!

From a personal standpoint, Everglow was a DREAMCATCHER-like group that didn't use any metal rock instruments. However, they are going through a downturn right after Pirate's release, as one of their members experienced a crisis of leaving and rejoining after a year.

Well, she was put on hiatus due to a stupid scandal (Yiren forgot to bow in the Korean style and Knetz got triggered when she did a Chinese greeting). She then moved back to China for the entirety of 2022 to study, visit family and even released a Chinese solo song. The only reason we didn't have a comeback that year is because the other 5 girls apparently refused to do a comeback without Yiren, so they waited for her whilst they were busy performing at festivals and other places.
