As a Shawol, I can point you to their 3rd Shinee video with pride (the one with Up&Down, Symptoms, etc.) since I just finished watching that one with a smile. They were positively gushing throughout that entire vid lol. The lowest score in that whole vid was 8/13 I think. I wouldn't say their taste is trash since they loved the Shinee songs I love, but they are definitely VERY specific about what they prefer and TBZ title tracks just don't fit that criteria unfortunately. I haven't watched all their stuff since I'm still catching up, but from what I have seen I don't think they really like 'banger' title tracks that most boy groups have. These guys tend to focus entirely on composition and they're super picky about it, which is fine everyone has their own taste. They aren't impressed at all with high notes, ear worms, crazy plots, or insane dance moves (which are basically the main selling points of title tracks). So for pretty much every kpop group, you probably have a better chance at a good review by requesting bsides. Edit: I just reached the end of this video where they specifically talk about what I just said lmao. They even said "banger title tracks" like I did haha.

The Boyz have a signature style, it’s very distinctive. It might not be for everyone, but I think that’s a good thing. And even with their characteristic sound, believe me, they have other styles too...still very much The Boyz, of course

Okay, but being fr though.. im a deobi since their rtk era, and honestly i was disappointed on the chorus of maverick. It got this spesific instrumental that's too mediocre for K-pop at the time. And it's like... underwhelming. They got a lot of repetitive parts on their songs, and that's the truth. Maybe both of this guys's just not a fan of it.

Maverick is probably the least The Boyz-sounding track they have lol, they switched company before that comeback and I just KNOW their company changed their sound trying to make something similar to the Stray Kids or ATEEZ sound, but it just doesn't really fit them and while the concept and some parts of the song are great it was quickly forgotten despite being initially successful. Roar or Watch It are so much better attempts to do a dark concept for them. However, I really disagree with Thrill Ride's review, it's been 3 years now and it still sounds fresh, fun and catchy, it's also probably their most known song in Korea.

The Boyz known as one of the most versatile group in Kpop, the loves to try different concepts in every comebacks and they pulled it off. Ive not heard a song from them that i dont like like seriously bops only. Plus their vocals are great the best among 4th gen i woul say, theres a lot of member but each has their own color and styles. I really looking forward to their upcoming song on october 28th

I think to everyone saying the song choices are bad, how about you request songs, and wait 4 to 5 months for it to be listened to, even after you've come to realize what Atom and Kazinho would like better. When I requested it, I chose songs that I like, have actively seen live, and thought would be good. I also respect their opinions. Please feel free to send in your own requests, and quit being so critical. Everyone has different thoughts, and feelings, and not everything is ment to be a to z equal.

These guys can come off as "know-it-alls" when it comes to music, and the way they word things can be rude, the way they say things is 50% rude and 50% feedback/criticism, but...they are allowed to have an opinion, so the people saying they are "snobby" all because they didn't like your favorite groups' music need to realize that in the real world, you will be criticized about dang near everything. I really like THE BOYZ and I think they have good music same with MAMAMOO, SEVENTEEN, NCT, ENHYPEN, AESPA, etc, but I won't say "You guys need to stop reacting to kpop because all you do is hate on it" how will they know they like the songs if they don't try to listen to them? I normally like TBZ, but I also noped out on Maverick. I think it's their only title track that I dislike. That chorus really is bad. Songs with English chanting choruses tend to do well in the K-Pop market tho, and I've never figured out why. Doesn't seem to matter what the word is. It's been a staple I would say since Super Junior's "Sorry Sorry." (Which ya'll would probably give a 1 based on your scoring, tbh.)
