This is part two of my mini outfit series. Part 1 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3u4h6OrnL99pJI None of these reflect my opinion. I apologise for my audio, I’m new to voiceovers but hopefully I’ll improve. I also got a new mic which should be louder and more clear (fingers cross)

I understand that you have your thing and its something to be aware of but can we please give aware of the fact that red velvet debuted before blackpink so everything that they wear is what they lacked at that time. Red velvet didn't copy anyone maybe the stylist all got together and became inspired by a different outfit seen somewhere else

Luggage Lost its all political. Same as some followers of Islam wanting Jews to burn. While some Jews want Muslims to go away forever too. Just so many spectrums of politics. I’m sure, not matter how logical it seems now, if you were born n raised in Japan you’d have an entirely different take. Still doesn’t make it right but that why some people don’t approve

Because Japan has very carefully created a new image to their citizens when recounting history to try to cover up their wrongdoings during the war. There’s a whole thing about “we already apologized so shut up about it” when in reality there are still former comfort women alive today who haven’t been able to reconnect with family or maintain a normal life and still need support

In the video you comment about how Oh My Girl’s outfits have a “lolita theme”. There is actually a japanese street fashion called lolita that isn’t associated with sexuality or the book. As part of this fashion community it would be great if you didn’t describe their outfits this way as they appear to sexualize minors not wear lolita-like clothing. The lolita fashion subculture is actually based on modesty and rococo and Victorian style dresses and has no connection to the book. Language like this spreads misinformation about the community. I don’t blame you for not being aware as it isn’t a huge really well known thing. If you wish to learn more Lovelylor here on KZbin does a great job talking about it.

*korean netizens don’t even bother to hide how racist and xenophobic they are towards lisa...* she constantly gets comments being criticized for her ethnicity because they think SEA people are inferior in every way. recently her “Malamente” dance video trended worldwide and again, all they kept pointing out as an attempt to drag her is that she’s Thai... i was so disgusted. i’m glad most of her fans are non-korean so she has a lot of supporters anyway. women in general can barely breathe in sokor but foreign female kpop idols must have a REAL hard time and it hurts to think about it. (also yes i believe a lot of ggs stylists get inspired by blackpink’s fashion and there’s nothing wrong with that, just don’t get defensive when someone points out the obvious truth)

😂 you think she has a hard time? Really?. She's young, talented, attractive and making tons of money as an idol that doesn't have to write her own songs or her own choreography and doesn't even have to have a comeback more than once or twice a year. She might have had a couple of tough years as a trainee but all idols do. Her life is cake compared to idols that don't make it big in the industry... those poor guys and girls have to go find a day job and pay off the huge debt they owe to the companies that failed to promote them, while Lisa is making bank from modeling and Instagram... it might "hurt" you to see hate comments against her, but the reality is she's living a better life than at least 80% of the world's population.

@1234 5678 Hi! Cultural appropriation is a big problem, but based on what I know, yeji's braids were plaits, a looser braid without any cultural history behind them, while lisa's braids were cornrows or box braids (noted by the way it was attached to her scalp), which originated in african/black culture. I'm not African myself though, so I won't try to pretend I completely know and understand what I'm talking about, and if someone who knows better comes and corrects me they'd me more trustworthy. Anyways, based on this knowledge, Lisa's braids and Yeji's braids are different, and so are the way people would react to them. It isn't irony or a specific hate towards blackpink, just the difference between a simple cute hairstyle and the big problem of cultural appropriation in kpop.
@goldyd144
@goldyd144 4 жыл бұрын
@@user-op8kk7dl8g Thank you! Hello, actual black person here. I've worn box braids before. Lisa's braids were box braids. It's very common for people to mix innocent styles like Yeji's loose plaits with styles with actual cultural significance, like Lisa's box braids or Joy's passion twists (as they're called where I'm from). In both cases, I think both ladies looked great, but it really annoys me how fans sometimes intentionally try to mess with the understanding of these issues by mixing up styles with cultural significance with styles that don't and act like people are making a big deal out of nothing.

Though it may seem really stupid to us, but in Korea, being respectful to your own body is a big deal. KBS is a family show, and so they don't allow any music videos to air if the video could in any way, influence young people to do such things. Things like short skirts, half tops, overly seductive choreography or breaking of the law is not allowed on KBS. Koreans care a lot about what their kids are influenced by. Personally, I wouldn't want my 4 year old daughter (if I had one) to watch Exids Up & Down dance and think it's okay to go running around doing the same thing at her age.

On the case of Monsta X, however, it didn’t happen when they were at Japan hence why it didn’t cause any outrage. On top of that, that clothing has a great message as it is emphasizing the liberation of SK (just sucks that Jimin got caught due to the history between Japan and SK).
