Kpop idols are always busy and hardly have time to sleep, their schedules are jam packed and are often overworked. All that weighs on them and sadly it sometimes results in them fainting and/or collapsing caused by extreme exhaustion. An unbalanced diet can also be a result of constant fatigue.

the scariest ones will always be that time Krystal fainted in the middle of a spin on that ice dancing competition show, and that time someone had a seizure on stage and they just kept performing. I remember so many times idols saying they were on an IV drip backstage due to exhaustion, like that's normal

Yes this is true back when SNSD where performing in Manila Philippines their manager ordered some IV bags for members because they don't eat before the concert started and they have being doing it for almost 2 months because they are on a tour.

Companies and fans need to stop pressuring idols so much. For example, Jiwoo from NMIXX, poor girl gets hated so much because of her HEALTHY weight. You've got to remember, before, idols were binded by a slave contact, so they weren't allowed to stop their performznce for health issues, or they would be sued, and most groups could afford being sued

Some people are supposed to understand that these Idols are human and have a life. Their managers are there to manage their schedules and never forget that the clients need rest, too. Find out any of their illnesses, triggers, allergies and so much more. Idols have to use their time wisely by taking care of their health first, then everything should fall into place.

8:13 she didn't fainted because being exhausted, she fainted because of a problem with her brain or something (i believe it stopped working for a moment? i don't really know the exact cause but yeah something like that), she could have died instantly Edit: her brain had insufficient supply of oxygen so she fainted, she were looking down and seemed exhausted for almost 10 min before she finally fell down, she endured all that time :( Her group name was Shasha. (again idk if she left the group but most likely she did)

@@catwantscookie he is not the manager, he is the interviewer and I don’t know, he was panicking so he tried to wake her up roughly but didn’t succeed, and I don’t know much about her but I know that she got better, possibly she left the group and K-pop in general but I’m not sure sorry (shasha, her group, disbanded in 2019)

The popular groups don't have to be managed on WHAT they eat or HOW MUCH they eat, they just get told when they have to get up for recording, practice, dance, shows, and what their schedule is that day/week. Every one of Dreamcatcher gets a day off, even during touring they will all get an off-day where they have free schedules to sleep in and eat. I'd say that is why they're so energetic on stage because their company actually cares about their well-being.

If anyone else has been around for a while they might remember exactly why JYJ and Hangeng left SM (not that they're the only culprit). I think I remember Hangeng talking about how he and Siwon(?) were so ill the day before a performance for an end of year ceremony that they were in hospital getting an IV, but were still made to attend and perform. Although the contracts have improved slightly, the industry is honestly rotten from the beginning - taking teens/preteens, modifying their looks and training them to strive for a perfection that doesn't exist.

It's been a very long time, but I remember. TVXQ and SuJu were the company work horses, and they got worked right into the ground. That situation with the IVs you mentioned, SuJu's manager could have killed them both by suddenly maxing the speed of the IV drip. I don't know what conditions are like now, but that sort of thing was a constant in the first and second generation idols.

@@glitchyglitchy3925 Yeah I don't think companies do that now. The only complaints we hear now are the companies not listening to their big names in what they want to do musically. Dreamcatcher is the exception, as well as Twice. Twice works really hard and has long shows where sometimes, some light songs, they will go easy on the choreo and dance, and other big-hit songs where they do full choreos. But Dreamcatcher's rule for each other is that they eat and sleep whenever they can, wherever they can, and they always eat before every show so that they're not hungry. I think that's one of the many reasons I F with Dreamcatcher.

Yeah, you have to worry about idols who take on too much at once. Miyeon from ( )I-DLE has a similar schedule as Wonyoung, but so far she hasn't shown any signs of exhaustion (publicly anyway). Recently she said she's taking a break from her podcast which will lighten the load, BUT she's also going to start promotions on ( )I-DLE 2023 comeback so... I don't think that's really taking a break.

I feel like they're so caring to each other, 04:49 victoria and sulli (rip) are rushing to carry krystal off the stage, they must be panicking there but still have the initiative to help her. Yk evrytime I watched ktube I always wish that they mentioned f(x) for how much of a game changer they are. But the only time I see them on list is always in the video like this. No one seems to notice when all the girls on stage have stopped singing that the song keeps going. (Not a bash on miming. I know it takes a lot to sing and dance at the same time.) You would think the managers would cut the music vocals to maintain the illusion a little bit.

A massive part is the fact these guys are starving. They have to maintain their "idol" weight. A lot starve during promotions. Add that to being driven like slaves. Also, that sucks when you see their show completely interrupted and it goes on loud as ever like they are still singing. Then you wonder how many groups are leaning so hard on their backing tracks that it's become indistinguishable from singing and lipsyncing. Literally not a blip in the audio on some of the really obvious ones.

I don't understand the other members continuing to dance or sing, like if that person had a heart attack and you were caught continuing to sing or dance that's going to look worse on your image than stopping what you're doing and attending to the person. I don't care what their companies told them "the show must go on", fuck that, idols are disposable and easily replaceable people to these companies, I wouldn't put myself on the line or any of my fellow members/co-workers.
