It is actuallu kind of unbelievable that kpop was so freaking iconic back then. Just look how many hits there were in just one year. Now it is all gone. I'm not saying that there is no more good music in kpop nowadays, but the thing that stands up for me is that now everything is so divided. Groups have their fanbases, who listens to their music, but there are not that many songs that every kpop listens to. Like there are no hits that everyone would sing to despite which fandom you belong to. New kpop songs just doesn't give the vibe of the older songs and thats totally understandable but it just doesn't make me wanna listen to them like before. Some groups became too western if that makes sense and some groups became much more mature. Both things are understandable as they get bigger in popularity and older but it doesn't feel like what I signed up for a few years back. I still enjoy new bands but most of my playlists are of older songs from 2th and early 3rd gen and I stop listen to most new songs after 2 or 3 months. I got into kpop this time I was going through some pretty shitty time and the 2017 kpop kinda saved me. I discovered my passion for dance and it really helped me. Miss those 2015-2018 songs
