Most of them joined sm when they were around 11-13 except jisung he was 9 when he entered SM which is why they are one of the most well rounded groups. I think that’s one of the reasons why SM made them a fixed unit because they literally grew up together since they were children and after Mark graduated they went through a lot emotionally and it took them some time to recover from that and the concept of them like being separated after graduation was a bit emotionally scarring for them and stressful so I’m pretty sure that’s one of the factors to why they became a fixed unit. Like because they trained for so long and since they were so young they didn’t get as much opportunity to make friends so they only had each other for them to think about the looming graduations was hard. it was so sad after Mark’s graduation when they had their concerts with out him they couldn’t help but break into tears.

Lucas is very tall but in addition to that he's also... big and broad shouldered/ naturally muscular and has been for years (was an athlete at school). Had he debuted in Dream he would have been the oldest alongside Mark, and especially next to 14 year old Jisung and 15 year old baby faced Chenle in their bowl cuts he would have stood out quite a bit back then! (it's less of a huge contrast now that Jisung shot up in height and Jeno packed on the muscle etc)

I think the main thing that pushed for the permanent establishment of the dream unit instead of having them graduate was that aside from how close they grew and how stable they were as a well rounded team they never actually brought in any new members or provided routes for the younger ones to grow into 127 or U. After Mark, 4 were graduating at the same time leaving only 2 and essentially no future for that unit which would lose all of the support they earned as a unit. 127 and U can tend to blend together with their similar music styles and similar member line ups but dream grew to be a solid stand alone group. Not only was it a matter of throwing a way a super successful unit (one of, if not the most solid unit because I truly believe they could successfully live on as a great 7 member team for years to come if they weren't simply a unit) but it was also super stressful on the boys which was obvious at their "final" dream concert before the 4 graduated. They would always make fun of Mark for crying at his graduation but this time around all 6 of them were absolutely BAWLING, like heart breaking sobbing which really drives home the idea of how different this unit is and how unstable their futures were in the eyes of themselves and us as fans so hearing that they were now permanently 7 was a huge sigh of relief. I also was super relieved because after years with multiple groups I never trust SM and their treatment of Chinese members so I can rest assured Dreamies are good for now.

No one has "move on" to other units from Dream. The 2 Dream members who also belong to another unit, Mark and Haechan, were already in NCT 127 from debut. They promoted simultaneously in both units. So far, they're the only 2 Dream members who also belong to another NCT unit (other than U since everyone is in U). Please don't skip any NCT Dream MVs. You need to experience the GROWTH of Dream whether you think you'll like the song or not. Don't skip it just because you think you won't like it. Honestly its only their first like 3 songs are cuter but please give them a chance. And it's really only Jaemin and Haechan and sometimes Jeno that like to act cute in NCT Dream the others hate it. The joke with Lucas and Dream is that when he was preparing for debut, he had thought he was going to be added to Dream because he's the same age as Mark. And he's on several occcasions talked about wanting to be in Dream (since he's close friends with a lot of them). He did get to perform with them briefly at a concert once, filling in for Mark. As for the 2 new members of NCT, there's been hints that they're preparing to debut a new NCT unit later this year and that will likely include the 2 new members and possibly new NCT members and members of other NCT units.

I have to say that no, don't include Jeno in the aegyo loving line. He hates aegyo as much as Jisung but sometimes is forced to do it. Jaemin and Haechan (and also Renjun) do aegyo for fun and because they like it (they either just like doing aegyo - Jaemin - or like annoying people by doing aegyo - Haechan and Renjun‐). Jeno doesn't love doing aegyo, he is unconsciously cute and does cute thing not by acting cute (what aegyo is) but by being naturally cute (probably one of the cutest dream members along with Mark and Jisung).

Lucas is the same age as Mark, so when he entered SM, he thought he would also be put in NCT Dream. He’s more than 6 feet tall, so he’s relatively taller than the rest of the members. Jisung is still the youngest in NCT, but he’s not the youngest in SM anymore since Aespa’s Ningning is younger by a few months.

I’m so glad you’re reacting to Dream! They’re my favorite unit! I would highly recommend not skipping their earlier MVs, as one of my FAVORITE parts of Dream is seeing their growth since debut! I usually like to recommend these three music videos to people first getting to know Dream: Chewing Gum, Go, and Ridin. They’re really good starters because they really showcase the Dreamies’ growth through the years! I like to describe it as their toddler, teenage, and adult years. Chewing Gum was their debut- they were literally babies in that music video! The song is probably too cute for you to like it as an actual song, but it’s SO iconic and also pretty catchy and a good representation of their concept when they first debuted! Go is like their teenage years, with this comeback they were trying to go as opposite of their original cute concept as possible- just like how kids try and rebel during their teenage years! Ridin is their most recent comeback. With this one they’ve started to mature and find their own style as grown men! I’d like to note that these are by no means my favorite Dreamie songs either, but they really showcase their growth since debut! My favorite music videos song-wise are My First and Last (still on the cuter side but this song won the first music show win of any NCT subunit!), Don’t Need Your Love (a collaboration with a European artist named HRVY), and We Go Up (bright, but not cute). However I still highly recommend checking out Chewing Gum, Go, and Ridin in that order as an introduction! For their earlier songs, even though they may not be ur style musically, it’s still good to watch as it’s a part of the Dreamies’ journey too. Anyways that was long haha but I love the Dreamies so much :) Loved this reaction and I can’t wait to see you check out more from them! Hopefully my explanation was helpful :)

Jaemin is the one which took a hiatus for a year and a half after debuting with chewing gum , this is because of his health problems related to his back which needed him to rest longer . And about Lucas the reason he is being called tree is that Lucas has always been tall but when dream just debuted , the members were all kinda short because they were still growing up and were teens . YES! I'm glad you've finally gotten to Dream! Honestly, I would still recommend checking out their songs like "Chewing Gum" because it is cool to see their growth and progression even if you don't enjoy it as much. But I would definitely recommend reacting to "Ridin" and "Boom" first! Dreams b-sides are also so good! After you check out a few of their songs, I highly recommend their b-sides "Dripping" and "119". The Dreamies really are family, they literally grew up together and they trust and rely on each other so much! All the older members of NCT from the other units really love the Dreamies a lot, they tend to baby them like crazy, especially when they were all legally minors. They have also often stated how their only friends are NCT because training and debuting so young meant they didn't get to make same age friends in school or have those school and teenager experiences :( Seeing Mark with them can be an adjustment for sure lol but he's a perfect fixture and it honestly hasn't felt right without him even though the song are of course amazing. Mark has been a solid leader for them and Jeno really stepped up in his absence. Jaemin is so interesting because he's incredibly over the top, dramatic and is very good at acting cute, but he's also one of the most INTROVERTED members, it's hilarious. Especially if you catch him in a large group setting (for example, when all 23 are together in one room or doing an activity), that man will be as silent as ever, I swear. And Lucas is one of the tallest members of NCT, he's like 6'1! He's right after Johnny who is tallest at like 6'2.

Chewing gum was actually the song that got me into NCT as a whole lol but yeah it's very different to what the other units do and of what Dream currently does. If you do want to react to Dream but not to the "childish" songs (I say that with utmost respect) I suggest you watch: - My first and last (they were still very very young but the song is a banger and got them their first win and first win out of all units). - GO - We Go Up - Boom - Don't need your love (it's actually a collab not a title track) - Ridin They're rumored to have an ot7 comeback soon so you should definitely catch up, anyway great reaction. 💚

I know you won't like their earlier songs but I really do want you to watch all their mv's from start to most recent because you get to see them grow not only physically but as artists as well. Also, Jaemin is the one that was on hiatus. He had a herniated disk injury and was absent from early 2017 to early 2018. So after their debut with Chewing Gum, he was absent from their two comebacks "My First and Last" and "We Young" but came back for their 2018 comeback "Go"

honestly i felt the exact same way as you when i first got into nct in 2017. i loved the subunit so much and i thought that they were soo talented, but aside from 'my first and last' and a few of their b-sides, their sound was just too cutesy and bubble gum popish for me. in 2018 they started shying away from their cute concept and since then they’ve done a complete 180. Its been an absolute pleasure watching the members grow up and mature with their sound… definitely an experience unique to the dreamies :) if you want that same sort of experience, i would definitely recommend starting with chewing gum (keeping in mind that it won’t be your cup of tea - just sit back and have fun with it lol) and then work your way up to ridin’ in terms of mvs, i’d recommend watching chewing gum -> my first and last -> go (when their switch-up happened) -> boom -> ridin’ i’m so excited that nct has become a weekly group on your channel, loved your reaction and can’t wait for next week!

So Mark didn't graduate from Dream to 127 (neither did Haechan) - they debuted with both groups in 2016. Jaemin and Haechan are really the only ones to who do aegyo, Renjun occasionally as well, but mostly to annoy others. Jaemin gets away with it because he exuded massive bde, like he doesn't give a eff ╮(‵▽′)╭ Yeah, NCT Night Night was also Johnny and Jaehyun's Radio segment at a normal radio station. Many idols actually do it, Super Junior members kinda made it a trend as they've been hosting radio shows for YEARS! So the two Chinese Dreamies host(ed) a daily 1 hour radio show on tbs efm everyday at 21:00-22:00h KST (the channel runs Chinese-Korean programming daily between 21:00-0000h ) with a viewable radio once a week. Each day has a different fixed guest, segment and people can write in with letters or song requests etc. Renjun was the first Dreamie to host, he had the gig for over a year but was only supposed to be a short term filler things, but not Chenle hosts it after showing interest and having guested a few times when Renjun was the host. Jeno was a child model and was in a bunch of ads. Chenle was a child star in China and actually met Jisung at an International event they both participated in before Chenle joined SM. Jisung acted on kids shows as a kid and also did many events as a dancer. Mark, Haechan, Jeno, Jaemin and Jisung were all on Mickey Mouse Club Korea while they were in SM Rookies (trainees at SM) so kinda child stars. Jisung is still the youngest, but a new unit with new members will debut this year so we don't know for how long... I would recommend watching Chewing Gum, but maybe watch the hoverboard version as they perform it on those and actually gained them a lot of attention at debut. Check out Boom, My First And Last and Don't Need Your Love ft. HRVY.

When dream debuted they were all shorter than they are now. Even tho Lucas isn’t that much taller now, he was def significantly taller back then. He also has always had a bigger build in general so he didn’t really fit the cute image dream had.

Personally, I think skipping songs is never a good idea if you wanna get the true sense of a group. Besides, even if it's not your style, their older songs are whole ass earworms lol. As for aeygo, most of them actually hate it, unless you're Haechan who uses it to get his own way and to entertain or Jaemin who literally just loves it, does it as fanservice and to annoy his members lol. Basically, if you like chaotic people with a discography (especially bsides!) that has a loooot of hidden gems, I do think you should take a look. :)

24:10 He still the youngest in NCT, because new member Sungchan born in 2001, and Shotaro born in 2000.. Even with Aespa, the maknae from Aespa is Ningning born in 2002 same as Jisung. So, by the year they born, Jisung still maknae in SM. But older than Ningning by few months.

If you watch more content of them you'll see how close and important they are for each other since they grew up together and theynever stopped missing Mark. If u want to react to Chewing Gum, make sure you react to the hoverboard performance version, it’s not cringey at all, you’ll be surprised of how talented they are. I don’t like cupcakey songs even from girl group, but I love Chewing Gum as a song, it’s actually so catchy and fun. Also their “My First and Last” also from their cutesy era but the dance is included in some of the hardest choreo in Kpop, and the song itself is a bop. For We Young you might be cringing cuz it’s very animated (literal cutesy animation), but again the song and dance slaps. After that their songs Go, We Go Up, Boom, Ridin’ is no longer with cutesy style. They debut in super young age so that’s why their song is suitable for their age at that time. Dreamies also won the first music show win ever for the whole NCT despite being the youngest and the latest to debut (before WayV). Most of their songs, title tracks and besides, are tbh bops and easy listening for daily playlist~

NCT Dream is a fixed unit now (exactly like NCT127 and WayV) so no one has to 'move on' per se, Mark and Haechan are just concurrently in 127 as well, just wanted to clarify as you kept mentioning them 'moving on' and I wasn't sure if it was confusing. Also, since you like From Home, you can try rewatching it in your spare time and catch Renjun and Chenle in it now that you know them! :)

I would say start at the beginning, you’ll appreciate their transitions and growth more, especially when you get to Go. Jaemin was on hiatus for about one year for back issues, you’ll notice his absence in the early MVs, and Jisung is on hiatus now, recovering from a knee injury. He participated in some of the end of year shows, but sat on a chair, or motorcycle, for his part.

Jisung kind of took a hiatus at the end of 2020 with Resonance promotions (October-December) due to an knee injury he sustained. The reason why I say “kind of” is because he was still able to be in the music video for projects he was part of (NCT U - Work it) as well as be present at awards shows and performances, but when he was, he wasn’t able to dance. He’s on his way to recovery though! He does physical therapy frequently, as we saw in his segment of the NCT 24 relay cam.

About the SM theories, yeah kinda they change things but that only because of certain situations arise. In case of dream they were fixed to the graduation concept but the popularity of Dream subunit didn't let them do the same, so they made them the fixed unit but the concept of new members joining is still the same as they added Shotaro and Sungchan in 2020 era. We think that SM dont follow their theories but thats not the case, Im an EXO-L and its 9th year into their debut but they still follow their theory which may be not that prominent right now but if you deep dive into the MV's, VCR's of the concert, or simply just the concept of album you can still see the traces of the legend going on. Im not favoring SM but maybe this is the reason why they dont give their artists that much freedom for the music coz they have the storyline they wanna follow.

They're a group that has consistently had great comebacks regardless of the concept and their music is really diverse. Sm sometimes change the concept depending on the current situation, because just think about it, nct dream is soo successful, and if sm didn't change the concept, then its the same as disbanding them, you would obviously know that exo has their own individual power in their exo universe concept, just like that aespa also had their own individual ae member, so you don't have to think too much what sm do, just go with the flow because when it comes to kpop sm is a whole different level

I would definitely react to chewing gum if I were you! Even if you might not like it I feel like it's a great way of recognizing and valuing their growth throughout the years! Maybe even react to all of their MVs in order? The first few might be a bit too "young" for your taste but the 4th MV would be "Go" which is for example their most dark/edgy song so you won't have to wait too long to get to the songs that you'll definitely enjoy. Of course if you think that reacting to their older songs would be off-putting for you then skip them but I for example still really enjoy them despite preferring more "mature" concepts. Especially their 1st comeback "My First and Last", which also landed them and NCT as a whole their first Music Show win, is definitely one of my favourite Dream songs. If you wanna react to their songs in order it would be: Chewing Gum My First and Last We Young Go We Go Up Boom Ridin'. If you wanna skip the younger concepts I recommend starting from "Go". Btw. Jaemin didn't participate in and Dream activities in 2017 which includes their comebacks MFaL and We Young. He was on hiatus due to an injury so fans saw him go from "Chewing Gum" right to "Go" and all I can say is boi was that a shock!😂 Anyways, hope this helped:)

Lucas actually rly wanted to debut in nct dream (Actually he looked like he wld have done anything to be in dream) but at that time nct dream concept looks young while lucas looked more mature and he's a lot taller than most members but now there isn't much difference anymore cuz all of them grew up a lot and they're all adult now.

Lucas did not suit the dream concept 😂😂😂 so that's why sm did not let him debut in dream. Thus, hes always wanting to join the dreamies. (Lucas is actually qualified to be apart of dream hahahahha hes born in 1999 same as mark)

The graduation was NOT good idea for me because 7dream basicaly grew up together went throught a lot 2gether and SM just wanted to torn them apart because of some stupid graduation system then they were like 'fck ya we clowned uuu uhuhu' they make Mark to "graduate" which was rly hard for him and we czennies cried a LOT with them that time even during the Dream Show it was way too sad and yeah then the decision about fixed jnit was made 😂😂

Well for them having a very baby faces back then in chewing gum (obviously because they were 14 to 17 years old) I think it’s not bad idea to start with a cute concept because they were kids and actually I think it’s so uncomfortable if I had to see them to see 14 to 17 years old well let’s let’s stick with The youngest members who have the most the most Babyface the jisung and the chenle I think it would be so uncomfortable to see them doing a concept at 14 and 15 age like Ridin or Go they are so cute to be in this kind of concept. When I Saw Go for the first time I hated that song so much I hate the fact that they change the concept for them I was like no they’re still babies why you are giving them this concept but since there debut I felt like they are my babies like really I am their mum (i was born in 1996 Lol so not so old for them 😂) so that was that was weird for me to see them will Go concept Plus Dream was made For teenagers and young age audience so that’s why their concepts back then was so fresh so light colours and cute just to fit their young age members and audience how can they be cheerful and give hopes for other teenagers why they’re doing a Ridin or Boom or Go concept. So I think it was a good decision plus we have NCT 127 and NCT U they already took the dark more adult concepts so it will be to repetition of they did the same concept for NCT dream in the Same Year this would be nothing new Plus their fresh concept gave them more attention until this moment I think they are the most popular and NCT subgroup they are more popular than a NCT U and NCT 127 and WAYV from my point of view, like their popularity is so huge even thought they started with a cute concept but also I feel like it’s so good that that they did cute concept in the beginning because every come back I can see them growing up and that gave me more connection with them and even when I look back at their early videos I feel like oh my God it’s they are grow up so much it’s been a long time, I feel so connected to them That I saw them growing up to be that handsome and talented 7 men that they become now
