Just want to share the fun word play in Yuki’s rap. “I’m a weird 덕 (duck) who let the 덕 후 (duck who).” 덕후 (deokhu) is Korean slang meaning a fanatic/obsessive fan of something. It comes from “otaku” (Japanese). People like that are often teased or made fun of for being so obsessed with whatever they like, so it fits perfectly with the theme of the song. The first half could also be saying that they’re like the ugly duckling too.

I think once people w stop expecting Purple Kiss to be like a traditional kpop group they will appreciate them more these girls are the perfect mix of personalities theyre so different theres nothing like them in the industry which can make it tough but i hope people will buy their music because they're so damn talented i love their music ive watched them since debut

Personally my favorite title track. MemeM is still my overall favorite album though. Also yeah that location was where they did Zombies Halloween vid (and CWTA too actually). Can’t wait to see the full choreography tho. One of my favorite choreographers worked on it. Love that it’s not just a simple “you do you, fuck the haters,” but more so “it’s okay to be weird. That is what makes you cool and you aren’t alone.” Feels more relatable to me. ✌️

purki really killed it with this comeback! everything about it is my taste. the song, the mv, the styling, even the bsides are incredible. summer rain is so good especially and i’m not just saying that because ravn is one of my ults LMAO. fireflower too! these girls never disappoint.

Yuki makes me happy. This has a lot of Yuki popping off. Therefore, this makes me very happy. 😁 No but seriously, this is my favorite title track and probably also my favorite album from them, finally dethroning Into Violet. The song is just masterfully crafted and so well-paced, the story elements are FINALLY in here in the way I want and expect them to be, and the whole thing just reeks of the kind of fun sassiness that I've always adored about them. 11/10. Now I crave endless supplies of Purki variety and reality content.

This will be the first PK title track that I've really connected with musically. Gypsy Jazz seem to be their a genre that they're really clicking with lately. As I mentioned in another reaction, Nerdy is restrained and mature, but it's heaps of fun and energetic in its own right. The production feels purposely executed. There isn't really anything in the song that ends up being superfluous and out of place. Pretty Psycho and Oh My Gosh from their last release finally got me into their music and I'm so glad because I've always known they're good, but I had always been waiting for something that really stuck with me. PK and RBW really hit out of the park with this one. Looking forward to the dance practice after seeing the choreo for Yuki's part in the second verse 🔥

I love and share your enthusiasm for purple kiss and this song. One thing I don't understand is not getting that Memem was 100% a continuation of the story films... just not in the way we expected. Memem was totally about the witches getting inside your head and controlling your mind. Couldn't be more related to the story films right? From the first shot in the MV to the last. Take another look at it.

Center Yuki is one of my favorite things in Kpop right now and Im not sure if this is my favorite TT yet, but its definitely at least tied with Zombie. ALSO, I've mentioned this before somewhere, and I think I might be right, but it seems like they might be doing a "Red/Velvet" thing with their title tracks alternating between Dark and Quirky. Excluding the Christmas track, they've followed this pattern so far. Dunno, may be a coincidence, but it makes sense to me.

I like this theory! I don't see much relation between Ponzoña and Memem (sonically or aesthetically), but Nerdy is so much like Zombie that I wouldn't be surprised if they're keeping the quirky vibe as an every-other-comeback thing :)
