I love this style! I’m trying to learn more about the terminology of the movement! Do the moves have names or does it all fall under “Beat Ya Feet”?
@bink1fly Жыл бұрын
@Montejukebox Damn! Nobody responded to you. I can give you some info because they left a lot out it's based on the hee-haw, another D.C. Go-Go dance made popular by the junkyard band from Barry Farm's S.E. and out of this area a kid named Marvin aka Slush made his on dance out of it and kids started calling it the Slush when he used to do it. later on in the go-go it turned into beat your feet because band leader Polo of TCB was telling the kids to ((beat your feet youngin))when he seen the dance in the crowd. R.I.P. To Slush and Polo

Honestly speaking I love beat ya feet before it evolved after 07. Slow bouncing change how it looked. But 99-2006 that was the prime of battling. Another thing is the clothes. The early 2000s fashion made Beat ya feet look totally different, back when we wore 2-3x shirts , fitted caps and jerseys, you could do certain tricks. Even the jean size made a difference, that bony jeans can’t do. Still love it all though . But Bammas in the early 2000s was cooking shit. Mad chef, hot shops, black hole, cfe, at school, metro station , Tunnel, it ain’t matter.

The only thing I disagree with is that y'all didn't show how the dance was originated It was based off the hee-haw another Go-Go dance made popular by the junkyard band and it transformed from there through a kid named Marvin aka Slush from S.E. R.I.P.
