I remember seeing these guys on the beach in California. I made a little sand castle for two of them. Of course, because they live in the swash zone, the waves made quick work of my little crab abode.

I went to the beach with my family and I was standing near the swash zone, and I saw these little air bubbles and I decided to see what it was. I grabbed a big hand full of sand and there were two sand crabs in my hand, I inevitably screamed and tossed the crabs. I was so scared I had no clue what I just touch. I fell bad now for disturbing the sand crabs.
