Went swimming off the coast of Malibu once- got back to my uncle’s house and found one of these chilling in my swim shorts. The fact that it had been chilling under my nuts the whole way home and I didn’t even notice freaked me out

I remember seeing these guys on the beach in California. I made a little sand castle for two of them. Of course, because they live in the swash zone, the waves made quick work of my little crab abode.

Me and my cousins used to catch these on the beach but we called em sand turtles. We'd wait for the waves to roll back and run in and scoop up a bunch of sand in our nets.

I went to the beach with my family and I was standing near the swash zone, and I saw these little air bubbles and I decided to see what it was. I grabbed a big hand full of sand and there were two sand crabs in my hand, I inevitably screamed and tossed the crabs. I was so scared I had no clue what I just touch. I fell bad now for disturbing the sand crabs.

These are fairly commom in many brazilian beaches, I used to love catching and observing them as I grew up Never knew that the part digging first into the sand was actually their tails! Had it all backwards
