Exactly! Those who just graduate and acquire one year of experience, in the meantime, will pass the OET and go abroad, tarnishing the dignity and respect of other nurses. Their attitude is terrible, as you mentioned. What he said in the video is true; they don’t have any commitment to the profession. That’s why countries like Ireland are now only recruiting nurses with 6+ years of experience, especially those with GCC experience.

Agreed,there may be issues with newly arrived nurses. However,they are much competent than old generation in means of knowledge. Nurses who are mostly in senior positions are been frustrated with the knowledge and skills been showcased by newly hired people. Hence is being interested much in playing such blame games. Despite few exceptions most of the dependents are far more less competent than the ones in current generations and were mostly doing house hold chores. Unlike them new dependents of nurses in new generations are grabbing jobs better than their spouse . So , kindly don’t make such comparisons. Every one have their own pros and cons. Does these nurses who reached Ireland before 2007 completed any band 7 for visa. Where they faced any aptitude….

Not all freshers are like that, almost all of them have a selfish attitude.? Now all freshers are BSc nurses. Knowledge alone is not enough, there must be some "thiricharivu".You should also change your perception that senior employees are all less educated. Almost all such have come here and done B.Sc and M.Sc. No offense to newbies. Be good everyone. Don't let others hear bad things about you. I think that's the point of this video. I also came in 2005. I also took MSc.

However, I am sorry to say that in stark contrast to your statement that young generation are selfish,old generation is much ahead than that. Needless to say that unlike old generation who opted nursing for upgrading families financially,young generation are entirely different .Hence we should embrace that difference . I personally had experiences. Even though few who may upgraded their qualifications,it might be because HSE and NHS is providing them that opportunity to do it by being in service. Thrive to knowledge is hardly in it . I who have completed BSC in 2007 left this particular field for a carrier in HR only since I cannot cope with the attitude of many from the same field who where in nursing. I apologize for saying all this, nevertheless true .Also ,agreed with many youngsters who have the attitude which you mentioned .
