I'm terminally ill and I did a hospice day stay session each week and any new people would think that I worked there because I was constantly up helping the other ladies because at 45 I was by far the youngest. I'd be exhausted and in bed for the few days afterwards but I felt of some use on that one day a week. When I was younger and was in hospital a lot having surgery etc I did the exact same thing. The nurses knew I'd be feeding anyone who needed help, pulling off lids that were hard to get off so they could focus on nursing their other patients. I got more from the other patients who would tell me their life story which was a great history lesson and so interesting. It's good to take the time to listen to someone who just needs someone to talk to.

Not that Dennis can't do it himself but it's hard to cook while making sure people only take one drink etc. He explains it simply even though I'm sure he'd love to give everyone as much as they wanted he is also fair making sure everyone got something to eat. There is an aspect of danger doing this good work because fights could erupt between the homeless or people could just come up in a group and take all the food etc.

The best part of this channel, is seeing all the faces I recognize. I’m from Florida, and yet I’m building deep concern and care for the homeless community of a city so far away from me. But….the fact is.. I could walk down a mile in my own city and see the same sorts of people. Just reminds me, these are my community too. We’ll all brothers and sisters. I always smile when I see someone I recognize from older videos. It makes me happy seeing them well, and well fed. But one day I hope we don’t see em anymore because they’ve gotten off the streets. Until that point, it’s nice to know Kali is there to keep ‘em fed.

Just a tip , put the guacamole and cheese in lil plastic cups that have lids , that way you feed more people and everyone get the same amount , no need to guard the food so that way you could focus on cooking and greeting people 😊😊you welcome
