KRA Portable Vocal Chain (SOS line preamp, and Vari-mu compressor)

Here's a quick Demo of my portable vocal chain. On bottom is the line preamp version of my SOS preamp that features a 12au7 driven line output transformer instead of the el84 power output section. On top is the Vari-mu compressor with recent update of bypass switch and "zoom" re-zero knob.

Very interesting. Are you a hobbyist with electronics or a electrical engineer? Just wondering what your background is in electronics and how you got started?

Bachelor’s in engineering physics from the University of Oklahoma for the basics and then self study from there. Old (pre-transistor) electronics textbooks are really great for this kind of stuff.
