New Jersey, USA here. Good point about other hand use of protection. Since I train in Kali/FMA my empty hand is always doing something, (hitting, grabbing, passing etc) but I never thought about the stationary protective posture like you just demonstrated. So I tried ot and it makes sense. Thank you Kru.
