it sounds very good , but no need to sell as analog, it's not , the analog pulse wave for example sounds not analog here, it should stand on its own and it serves its purpose nord is prevalent in synth pop for a reason, it sounds good out of the box

In Japan, the Nord Lead A1 and NL4 are the exact same price. Talk about confusing to the customer. One of them has to give and it seems likely a discontinuation of the NL4 soon with a price drop on the A1. I suspect an A2 or maybe even an NL4x is close on the horizon. Either way, the Nord Lead A1 is way too expensive. Price drop coming in November is my prediction just in time for Christmas! It's a nice synth and on my list, but not at 20-30% above what it should be in price. Like with Apple Computer, there are Nord fans who will adopt early.

James McGill I almost bought a new/old stock D6 from a music store around 1996 for $350. still kicking myself on that one. a friend found one new in the box, never played for $400 in the early 2000s. he sold it on ebay for $1200. I don't think they're selling north of $2K any more. people have gotten tired of them once again.

Seriously. These things all sound the same. They are an excuse for people who don’t produce to always be hunting for that next piece of gear that will finally have the capabilities necessary for them to create their masterpiece. They spend thousands for the sake of bragging that they have better gear than you. Meanwhile, you’ve produced 4 new songs this week while their gear collects dust on its display stand.
