Really nice video. A suggestion - avoid using those little background music clips throughout. They are not needed and are somewhat distracting, imo. Otherwise, very comprehensive and informative. Thanks.

Excellent vid! I'm sold on the organs with this board. Probably gonna order one in a few days. Is it just me or is anyone getting dead tired of every keyboard company using Ipad for everything? I have had many tablets, some of which have been awesome, but none of them Ipad. I will NEVER pay the highly overpriced cost of one when the androids are excellent at half the price. Come on guys, SOMEBODY break the mold!

Good demo Ed, well played. As a Kronos user, let me judge its sound. KZbin's audio compressions disable you to compare well, however I'm going to write from what I heard. EPs suck. Transistor organ is good enough. B3 may be good, have to be listened directly. Generally all sound unnatural. It has good features like iPad support, D-Beam, FX knobs, dedicated organ sliders, and drum part.

Great Demo! Can you use an expression foot pedal (such as a Yamaha FC-7 or Roland EV-5) to control effects such as wah-wah, tremolo, and distortion so that your hands can keep playing on the keyboard? Thanks!

pls explain the difference between vr-09 and vr09b? e.g. just a s/w upgrade or different keyboard? Is the vr-09b a 61 key version of the vr-730?

VR09b = VR09 + firmware 1.12. VR 730 = VR09/09b with Roland Waterfall keybed.

i know you can record yourself easy, but to use for example the Roland integra 7 sounds and record them on usb thumb drive on the vr-09 it can't be done? or can it? the midi portion of this instrument seems either confusing? or not complete? or i can't figure it out?

is there a way to record onto usb thumb drive on vr-09 using the roland integral 7 sounds . it seems when i did try it, only the normal piano sounds came out, even though i had on various others like organ, or synth,, i am using a mac mini when the usb is connected

What's amazing about the VR-09 versus any other similarely priced synths out there is : 1- Obviously the organ drawbars! Finally I'm not stuck with a crappy organ preset. 2- A whole dedicated effects section! Not stuck with a crappy synth/organ/ep preset. Add wah/tremolo/reverb/leslie sim or any other effect! 3- FREAKIN USER FRIENDLY!!! FINALLY! The Juno GI is "worth" 1400$ and is complete and uther shit compared to this! gotta press 10 buttons simultaniously to save a damn sound in the favorite bank! But the VR-09 seems amazing!

actually when i tried to record through garageband and the vr-09 the sounds were just plain piano and nothing else. throught my own usb on vr-09 not through garageband that works through their own sounds not through the keyboard sounds!
