Are those drums generated from the V Combo?
@robfriedrich28225 жыл бұрын
I guess, they aren't. You can plug in an USB drive and play backings from.

How much did roland pay you for the video? You never mentioned the build quality , keybed performance , weight etc ?
@555ontario10 жыл бұрын
True, the key bed is low grade, the lack of editing for the effects leaves a lot to be desired and the over drive effect is lower grade but we're talking an $1000. keyboard but it still has clone wheel organ with a reasonable rotary effect, has a good piano sound, good EP's, a full complement of bread and butter sounds and a nice collection of synth sounds. They actually put good sounds on board this V-Combo not like the others that had lousy additional sounds. Yes, they took away that luxury key bed and Roland seems to like to do that which is annoying but they marketed this to the price conscious buyers. This board has some very cool sounds and it's a blast to play with the looper, the live effects, the rhythms and more. So, really look at it for what it is... it's a solid sounding, budget conscious, full sound set, drawbar organ that is super portable and light weight and all this for under a grand. Oh, and did I mention it's fun to play?

What a damn shame that the tonka toy keybed totally destroys this outstanding gigging machine, I'll have this synth with the rd64 keybed.........oh hang on I forgot Roland don't want to sell keyboards. I'm not a 'toy' musician so I wouldn't buy a synth with a toy action, looks like I have to spend more which puts me into Kronos Nord territory.....good one Roland, one of the best ever gigging machines let down by a toy keybed. It's like a High performance car with lousy steering brakes and suspension :( Sick of seeing products that could have been so great even if it would have cost more, how about an RD64 with more than 12 sounds!

I was shitty that day, the VR Roland series is quite nice but I've now gone for a Nord Electro HP, nice light weight keyboard with hammer action. The action on the VR-09 could have been a lot better, it's as bad as my Korg M50. Don't need to grow up, just voicing my opinion and frustration on crap key actions! Not knocking Roland (I love my FP-50) but so many keyboards these days lack a good synth action like the M1, O1W, DX7 etc had.

+Martin Crane - I bought one of these a month ago, best gigging board I've used! I just use a midi controller to play piano pieces. I'm a piano player so of course I'm not going to like the key action, but it's ok for synth or organ riffs, very good on board sounds indeed, talk about bang for your buck!
